1. This thread is designed for all kinds of IEM discussions, criticisms, points of view, etc. Have at it.
  2. IMO, requesting to wait until the "end of the tour" possibly 2017 to release IEM's is a unrealistic request. Although technically if no new dates have been announced by the end of this leg, it would be the end of the tour!
  3. For who? I would bet every show has had multiple tapers, both IEM and Audience. The vast majority are being "held" back just like every tour in the past. The majority of the recordings don't come out.

So far we have a whopping 4 IEM's, one of which was a pro job, the other 3 are all done with scanners. So the guys in the know (using receivers) have all successfully kept things under wraps.
  4. Don't jinx it Chrisedge!
  5. I'm putting here RickU2's last reply in case someone wants to reply to him:

The band might have said they are ok with bootlegs, but the management has never been OK with it.

They can easily make things more difficult for IEM tapers just by mixing up frequencies, and changing things around more frequently. They have already made some changes that make things harder, just in the last few weeks.
like what? and why? there was no IEM out there until recently.
  6. at least it should be sort of a democratic process. That would have had a chance to work. I wouldnt be surprised if the release of those paris IEM's is just a counter effect to a couple of guys trying to dictate what others should do.

There's a nail, it's got a head, and you just hit it.
  8. looking forward for all IEMs that anyone is willing to share! Love IEMs!

so more or less the same as last tour. The receiver guys never shared during the tour (except sharebear) or even at all. I dont want to spoil their private party, but I also will not be very sensitive for their requests.
  10. Originally posted by Ricku2:yes, people have been guilty of that for over 15 years and now some genius has decided that we should wait until the tour is over. Short sighted is a nice term to throw in the discussion, but I'm still missing convincing arguments.

Yeah this is what I don't get about the IEM-tapers pact. I'm not a part of your super-duper exclusive circle so I don't know (and frankly my dear, I don't give I damn!) the terms of the agreement, but from the outside it sounds like something totally arbitrary. There have been super quick IEM releases from all past tours since Popmart, the 360 Tour being notable for the extensive and fast-releasing IEM coverage; why stopping it now all of a sudden? Arbitrary. The band and their management are well aware that their IEMs are recorded during many shows since decades ago, and still they haven't done anything to prevent it in 20 years - why should they do it now? Arbitrary.
  11. It's a reasonable request I feel, but not everyone is going to be in the circle that subscribes to the idea. Ultimately, tapers should be free to do what they want with their own recordings and not be berated for going against the code of conduct that other tapers adhere to.
  12. Sorry for being rude, had a bad day. I appreciate anything someone is willing to share!
