1. Anyone from America see the USA vs Mexico soccer game? Was a thriller, except the refs seemed to blow the game for us! Clint Dempsey's "offsides" should have been a goal!

I also heard Ireland lost 1 nil to Brazil. Any guys and gals from Ireland catch the game? Did Robbie Keane play?

I'd like to hear about the other games around the globe, since here in America we get about 1 game on tele/month .................
  2. Wow an American who likes soccer I thought you guys liked American Footbal more hehe

Well my country, Belgium, played against Standard Liège for practice and won 2-0 but actually we kinda suck ass
  3. ha, I'm one of the few and proud who like soccer (the real football) more than American football. :;)
  4. Can we just make this [THE] soccer topic so we stop having all these different ones?

    Hi friend
    how are you?

I watched Brazil x Ireland...R. Keane played (but not in a good shape)....

nice to see an American soccer fan...and great topic!!

    Greetings from Brazil!
  8. I watched the Ireland v Brazil game myself. Not enthralling but very entertaining. Ireland played surprisingly well but there wasn't enough conviction in the finishing. That Brazilian goal was pure class though

someday I'll watch Brazil v Ireland in Dublin....I hope hehe

and you're right about the game and the goal...

but here in Brazil the journalists are talking about the players that Dunga didn't put in the game...and I think they're right...
  10. That was a pretty amazing score for Ireland. Do you think they have a chance at making the 2010 World Cup? I remember back in '02 rooting for the Men in Green. What a great run that was with Roy/Robbie Keane & Co. My cousins from Ireland mailed us some jerseys from that year. It was really exciting.

This summer USA played Brazil in Chicago, I was so upset that I couldn't make the game. USA played well, but Brazil got a few bogus goals. I believe we ended up losing 3-1.

I'm saving up $ to go to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa where I hope to see USA will finally raise take the cup
  11. Slovakia 1-1 Hungary Our football is a piece of shit so I watch EPL. C'mon Chelsea! It will be a really interesting match against LFC.

well we are gonna need a manager first. Our next match isn't until september so the new manager won't be able to test his team selection in a competitive game before the qualifiers. They have every chance, though that may be more to do with the luck o the Irish than anything else
