1. My top 5 U2 albums are Boy, The Joshua Tree, Achtung baby, All that you can't leave behind & How to dismantle an atomic bomb. A pretty good cross section I think !! The next 5 would be The Unforgettable fire, Pop, Songs of innocence, War & Zooropa so again it shows the longevity of our band.
  2. Right. What an album !! Even though I became a fan in 1984 the first U2 record I bought was The Joshua Tree & I played it to death !!
  3. At first I wanted to vote the 90's, because of Achtung Baby and ZooTV.
But, an unfinished Pop and the mediocre Popmart-tour take that one down for sure.
The 80's had Boy, October, War, The Unforgettable Fire, The Joshua Tree AND Rattle Hum; great shows and tours; them conquering the world; hit singles that everyone still loves today;...
So, it's not even a question if you think of it.

The "Outside it's America" documentary comes to mind
  5. Vote 90's!
  6. The 90s had the Zoo TV/ Zooropa /Zoomerang tour & The Popmart tour but the 80's had the early tours, The Boy tour, The October tour, The War tour, The Under Australian Skies tour, The Unforgettable fire tour, The conspiracy of hope tour, The Joshua tree tour, The Lovetown tour
  7. I voted 90's... but could easily vote in 80's

Voted 90 because I love Achtung Baby, Zooropa and Zoo TV... and in Popmart (to me, worst U2 tour in musical therms, but we have some historic moments), they played in South America for the first time... they also played a must have in Sarajevo and only show until nowdays in Israel...

In 80's we have most albuns... and also great tours!! Boy Tour until War Tour, we got Larry on his best and fast shape... in Unforgettable Fire Tour we got Adam on his best shape, and we got Lovetown, my second fave tour ever
  8. Easy - 90's. 90's made U2 who they are. In 90's they were a synonymum of freedom in music and progression... Not even mention the live shows...
  9. The 90s. Incredibly creative and produced four incredible albums in a row (Achtung Baby - Zooropa - Original Soundtracks - Pop).

This. Definitely 90s. Zoo TV alone is worth my vote. And PopMart, when it worked and as it progressed, was incredible.

Satire, irony, musical progression, creative risks, unbeatable live tours = The best decade.

    Make it +2. Definitely 90s.
  12. Without 80's U2 their would have been no 90's U2 ?
