    Makes perfect sense.

With this said, I have many friends who are more casual fans of the band (there are a hell of a lot of them out there) and they would likely be quite disappointed to not get most of those songs.
  2. I personally hope they keep the set JT and before also... that being said, (ready kids...) songs like Please and If God Will Send His Angels are very relevant to the current state of the world and could fit in nicely with the theme. It'd a delusional thought to conjure, but they'd fit, for sure... (are you reading this, Larry?)

I speak from the point of view of use lot. The casuals will love it regardless. I expect this to be a very well received tour generally.

Assuming they open with Streets, I would presume we'll get an extremely long intro - which would be fantastic.

Just realized, however, if they OPEN with Streets, we lose the great segues from past tours - especially Zoo TV, Popmart, and Elevation.
  6. Aside from NYD (my drought has been already mentioned), I'm really hoping A Sort of Homecoming makes a regular appearance. It's such a great song that has been neglected for far too long - heck, it might even make for a fitting opener to the show .... and then I can get that great segue into Streets that I just mentioned above.
  7. It's good to be loving U2 again.

For a minute there, I lost myself.

Your set looks great but I would HATE if they didn't play the album in order.
  9. The album being played in order is what will take this thing to another level. I get both sides of the coin that it might not suit the narrative that the band wants to fit with their setlist but they really should try it out.
  10. I'd be slightly deflated if they didn't play it in order...

    Agreed.

If it's not in order though, it should be a classic JT-Tour setlist. That's how I feel anyway.
  12. Not sure if I agree with the above posts....I suppose it depends how much they mix up the rest of the set. If they mix it (the album) up a bit, it'll add an element of surprise to the show.
