1. I'd be quite happy with that, it's one of they annoying songs that people who only listen to the radio consider a good u2 track. I know 2 people who think it's one of there best songs.
  2. Party Girl, or the Boy disc 2 version of Twilight where Bono sounds like someone is squeezing his larynx.
Live, Party Girl isn't bad, but the studio version...
Some of The Unforgettable Fire disc 2 is also questionable.

    Others that come close:

I love the War album, but this is the only song that I always hit fast forward on! Yuck, lol

  6. From time to time I wonder if I overrate the War album. It's got two classics (SBS and NYD, obviously), two beautiful slow tunes (40 and Drowning Man) and then six songs that (for me, anyway) range from pretty good to not very good. Red Light and The Refugee fall into the latter category.

Yeah, I remember cringing at the song (The Sweetest Thing) when it was released back in 1998. You gotta remember that Pop had just been put out the year prior so this sounded like bubblegum to me.

I think war is an overrated album in general. It's definitely the stength of SBS and NYD that carry it, I'd probably include 40 in that list too since it's became a live classic over the years but Red light and the refugee are two songs i'd consider for worst song. Not a patch on Boy for me.

True. Boy is quite solid from start to finish. I think they sequenced the songs quite well for that matter. I guess I would say "Shadows..." is my least favourite track but at least it's at the end of the album.
  10. I've warmed to Red Light, I quite like it.
  11. I admire your open-mindedness, Tim.

For me, Red Light equals "stop." (Worst play on words ever).

I forgot about The Refugee. Another stinker. But the beauty of Drowning Man makes up for it I think?
