1. Yay. Crosspost to drunk thread.

A shame a title wasn't on the line today. Great day out none the less.
  2. Just booked airbnb for Jul 21-25. This is happeeeeeniiiing
  3. I was just looking at your photos there from the previous trip: On the second page there is a photo tagged as "Galway Docks" but no, this is the Claddagh area of Galway where I grew up. If you look again at the photo the building on the left witnessed one of the early U2 shows outside Dublin in November 1979, I was way too young though to have seen that!

Bono's former home at the Martello Tower is located in Bray

Kilmainham Gaol featured on the "A Celebration" video

Carrigogunnell Castle and Moydrum Castle featured on the rear and front of the Unforgettable Fire album. But not easy to see unless you are driving. Die hard fans have scrawled graffiti on the walls. lol

    Enjoy Dublin

Do you mean my photos? (I created this topic many years ago but since then dozens of other users have posted!).
  5. Yes, your photos, I had a look at them and noticed the building in Galway where U2 had performed.
  6. Thanks for the heads up Always nice to know a bit more about Eire
  7. For those coming over this Summer...

No One Has A Clue What This Irish Farmer Is Saying

What was supposed to be a serious news story on animal theft has turned into a bit of a comedy sketch.

At first I was concerned for the two affected farmers from Mount Brandon in County Kerry. But when Mikey Joe O'Shea started talking I thought he switched from English to Gaelic.

Maybe that was a one off? I replayed the clip again and again and tried to find a shred of English but no... Nothing.

It's the LADBible so it's probably a load of bull.
  9. I understood practically all of it - It's English

The West Kerry accent is strong and one of the most indecipherable of the Irish accents.

Try listening to these guys after they've had a few pints!
  10. I just gave it a listen and understood all of it
But I have a number of friends down in Cork and Kerry, so I'm used to it
