1. Totally agree.

Btw not all the devotees want Alan back, i can say that. I love the way they have develop their things without Alan since Ultra.

  4. So where's a good place to start if you're somebody who has heard their songs before thinking "huh this sounds pretty good" but has never actually gone out of their way to look into this band?
  5. Black Celebration album..its dark and got away from the crindgeworthy pop stuff they were doing in the early 80s
  6. Songs like Fly on the Windscreen , Stripped and A Question of Lust got me into the band back in '86..
  7. 101

    Violator.

And then Songs of Faith and Devotion, Black Celebration, Ultra and Playing the Angel.
  9. For me it would be Black Celebration. That's the album where the band really "stripped" itself away from that poppy sound and became the darker band that we know and love today.

Then 101. I prefer this live album more than Music For The Masses. Then Violator and Songs Of Faith and Devotion.

If your not a fan by then... it may be time to move on. This was their Imperial Phase!
  10. Thanks for the input, I'll start looking into it. I listen to the U2 Spotify radio station at work since we aren't allowed to bring in our own media playing devices into clean space and these guys have been popping up and drawing my attention. I probably would have looked into them a lot earlier, but my musical tastes used to be very limited because I hated listening to radio as opposed to my own playlists.
