Nice one, random question but have you ever had a go at playing mofo and can it be done to a decent standard with just a guitar? I'm guessing if it can a lot of effects are involved.

If you mean stripped down... No it doesn't work (I've tried).
Playing with backing tracks or band, sure it does Not easy to make a decent cover off it but it's fun!

No evidence of gear/guitar acquisition syndrome in this video whatsoever...

I thought so, and the reason I asked you is I can tell your good. Oh well looks like I'll never be doing a cover of mofo but at least there's plenty of other classics to chose from. I used to mess about with the effects and play in a band but I'm down to an acoustic guitar nowadays so just making that work. Some great stuff on this thread.

hahaha, really, your post made me laugh long and hard. I guess it must be pretty obvious to a stranger but to me it has been a steady and slow growth of the family, so I barely notice anymore. My girlfriend reminds me every now and then though

Thanks for the compliments. I mean, you could theorically do a stripped-down version of Mofo.

But the result can be like this.

    LO AND BEHOLD.

  9. Where can I buy this?
  10. I don't know about the backing parts but the guitar playing was actually pretty good there a bit intimidating for a basic guitar player like myself though. I'm really loving the snippet at the beginning of iris just now, been listening to it a lot and think it's one of the best and most significant/ relevant to the song snippets we've had. Should have been done thoughout the tour. I'm going to see if there's anyway of me learning that mofo cover once I'm back from holiday but I doubt it.

No Mofo snippet = Iris skipped in the bootleg.

    Easy as that for me.

#ontopic again: it's just a matter of practicing, practicing, practicing, practicing a bit more, practicing, practicing, practicing a little bit more, practicing, practicing again, and when you think you've had enough practicing, just practice a bit more. Nothing is out of your reach. Just keep practicing and you'll simply get there

Well I wouldn't go as far as skipping iris but I couldn't complain about the fact the snippet significantly adds to it. Yeah I know I should be putting a bit more of time and effort into the guitar. I think I've got to a point just now where I can get by so I've kinda stuck but i should really be pushing it to the next stage. Things I've seen on here from yourself and others will certainly help give me the push I need.
