  1. It will be interesting to see what they do with the bonnaroo gig. It would be really cool if the stayed true to the Joshua Tree tour and played the full album.

I have to think they will.

I dont think is a good idea....
  4. I really hope so, if the full show is broadcast then we'll have a good quality bootleg that will kinda represent the tour. Obviously I'd still like a DVD release but there's no guarantees we'll get one.

They are billing as a part of The Joshua Tree tour, and I really don't think they'll alter too much from the course. by that time, they'll be clicking on all cylinders on the task at hand...
  6. because is a festival, it doesnt work to play deep cut, maybe some true fans will be there but the majority will be casual fans or not fans at all, they have to play the big hits.

Maybe so. If that's the case, they better kick rehearsals into high gear. They've got a lot to work on if they are going to do just one completely different set!

And anyway... By the time headliners roll up at Bonnaroo everybody just wants to be entertained. The demographics during U2's set will be split between die-hards, millenials that just love to hear good music and probably wouldn't know the hits from the album cuts, but will have a great time anyway, and then the whiny millenials that bitched about getting their privacy invaded when they got a free album download. you'll be able to spot them cuz there the ones that'll be on twitter and instagram bitching during U2's set...
