Joshua Tree Tour 2017
Legs (3): Leg 1 - North America, Leg 2 - Europe, Leg 3 - The Americas
Shows: 54
  1. If they end up dropping The Little Things from the set, it's a sure sign the current, revised, updated, reworked, SOE is scrapped and they are back to the old drawing board...

It's just 30 shows, very short tour... I think they'll have it there for the rest of it, more so given the meaning of the song and how important it seems to be to the guys. I would say they feel pretty much confident with it and I bet that it will stay until Brussels

Now the band drops it from the setlist tonight in Santa Clara

Bono & The Edge will be working on a device from heaven that allows them to communicate with Adam & Larry in hell. Only problem is there may be some issues with a hot wire or two. Wire, what a great song! Anyway please tell me I am dreaming and did not hit submit on this. Not really that funny, as there can't really be another funny way to express U2's inability to "finish" finished albums.
My first reaction is: why are Adam and Larry in hell???
    - because it's the only place people are allowed to play drums? (The little drummer boy too?)
    - because Adam accidently caused a slight "heaven" quake?
    - because God is a DJ?

  5. This is going to cause a bit of debate but I think I like this new version of ASOH more than the original. I do love the original and some of the early live versions are incredible but there's just something amazing about this new version that I can't quite put my finger on. Anyway glad it's being played and please let it stay on the tour til twickenham.
  6. Just realized how neatly ordered the set list in fact is. First 2 songs of War, then 3 of The Unforgettable Fire, followed by full The Joshua Tree.
The encore starts with 2 songs of ATYCLB and then 2 from Achtung Baby (and then closed with Miss Sarajevo + The Little Things )

they should be opening with tick tock or iwf, follow by gloria then sbs, and trashing miss sarajevo and the new song. both are very very anti-climatic and wreck the encore. my opinion. of course.
  8. Hi everyone! I'm new here, I was just going to go to the Houston show. I was supposed to see Soundgarden the night after in Dallas, then I woke up and got the most awful news in the world.

I picked up a GA for Dallas just now. Still wish I was just going to one U2 show though, with the circumstances.

The new song is beautiful and it fits the theme they are going for (I think) but it absolutely does not work as closer... especially paired with Miss Sarajevo)

The purist in me says they should open with 2 from Boy, 2 from October, 2 from War, 2 from UF, then complete JT and end with Party Girl and 40!

    (Larry, are you listening!!!)
