1. Good song, I like the Bass and have nothing wrong with the album version ,but it did take me a while to like it.
  2. I can think of worse U2 songs.
  3. All this boots love!
  4. Boots really missed the mark as a single. It arguably shouldn't have been one at all, never mind the lead. My main issue with it is the way it falls so flat during the choruses. It boils down to Bono singing over the bass, which is also true of Vertigo, but Vertigo is superior. It has better lyrics and a much better bassline. The second half or so of Boots isn't really that bad. When they played it live, everything was much more prominent in the mix and there was much more energy in it's deliverance.
  5. The eyeliner... awful. Single was worth it for the alternative No Line.
  6. I can't believe I'm saying this but glad to see nothing played from "Songs Of Boredom." Now the acoustic Wave, and Crystal Ballroom, Lucifer's Hands...would be different, but no way they would touch those at this point at a stadium show. Ok, that was a bit harsh, but SOI is my least favorite U2 album. But I loved most of No Pizza On The Horizon, and everything else. Though October and SOI are not really bad albums to me, just far below any of the others. I am already guilty of the "Songs of Boredom" crack, but after waiting all that time, and with the Apple guy calling The Miracle this awesome single, it just was kind of a Spinal Tap moment for a band I love so much.

I don't think it should have ever been released never mind as a single. It didn't fit on NLOTH and wasn't a good enough song to say well we can forgive them for missing the theme with it. I think it's up there as worst u2 song ever definitely top 10 for me.
  8. If you look closely at Larry it looks like he's only just winning a battle not to burst out laughing.
