okay hopefully it will be in November or December, fingers crossed
  2. We'll see.

As always, I encourage others to join taping ranks, travel, and record.
  3. wtf...

I don't recall ever saying that...actually. I thought it was a good mixlr, mostly because it was a steady stream. Not a bootleg.

So, for the record, I've quit making mixlr bootlegs - basically that was all part of an "i+e" art project. A homage to the disposable with mostly unintended side-effects. And ironically, some of those mixlr bootlegs have now claimed a life of their own as being still somewhat relevant
(e.g. as historic document). But, like I said, that was sort of unintended.
It was good fun though, and for the most part successful from my point of view

Anyway, at this point I'm only considering fresh cassette recordings of the JT2017 tour - preferably made with the SONY D3 or D6 Walkman...

BUT...until that time I'm updating the u2start archive with vintage recordings (as part of the AchtungBootleg migration project).
In fact, I've just updated the 1987-04-10 Las Cruces NM show with an upgrade of the "Minerva Velasquez" recording (better transfer).

AND also, the 1987-04-12 Las Vegas NV recordings with one from the JEMS archives, hitherto unavailable at u2start

Better be careful...your bluff might get called
  5. Not kidding, I would seriously love that! Sending tapes by "snail mail" and that sort of stuff, very Retro & Romantic

( I still have close to 200 vintage tapes from the 80-ies and early 90-ies )
  6. Some hi-speed dubs, 4th generations, of recent shows coming right up!

    okay, no problem
  8. More surprises...(or not...perhaps):

the u2start database has been updated with 2 new JT2017 recordings:

    - 2017-05-14 Seattle WA - CenturyLink Field, recording by u22utoo. I've added files of the one made with the Church Audio CA-11 mics.
    - 2017-05-21 Pasadena CA - Rose Bowl 2, recording by tapeman2016. Made with a "Zoom H2n with "Built-in XY capsules" - I think it's not a sure upgrade over the two already known recordings, but I think it is also not the worst of the 3. Ah well, you can see for yourself

    Enjoy
  9. And if you're not on dime and u2torrents, this one probably is a real surprise:

    2015-09-08 Amsterdam 1 - nunomoreira's "Bono + Edge IEM Matrix"

Shared with kind permission of nunomoreira in both 24bit FLAC and (16bit) mp3's

    Once again, enjoy

PS: the .rar containing the FLAC files is pretty big: 1.4 GB
