1. Have to say that was some show...wow so much energy and passion, big Foo's fan too but wow that blew me away!!
  2. One of the greats
  3. Seeing them in 10 days for the first time.

    Tick tock tick tock
  4. Is it just me that thought their Glastonbury set was really poor? It was just really middle-of-the-road. They've been doing the same thing live for a decade and it's quite derivative now. Energy is there but their set is just riddled with cliches. I saw them when they had the moving chair for Grohl during his leg break, kinda wish I saw them earlier in their prime, but would see them again purely for the energy.

Middle of the road is exactly what a Glastonbury crowd loves. I don't follow them at all so this was my first real dose. I was able to watch the whole set with the only complaint being that Dave got a bit annoying. Talks a lot for a man who was threatening to play every song they had. You can't do that if you keep telling us you are gonna do it.

In fairness to Dave I think he was buying himself and the band some time because they looked absolutely knackered even early on from the way they were playing. Don't get me wrong if it was u2 I would be saying we could have had 4 or 5 more songs in place of the talking but everything just seemed to work the other night. Having watched it back trying to be more constructive I still think it's the best Glastonbury performance ever.
  7. His "we're not gonna go off until they tell us to" bullshit bores me. He said that when I saw Foo Fighters and they abided to the 10pm curfew imposed on them; only went 15 mins over at Glasto and spoke for about a good 20 odd minutes in total during the show to kill time.

There's a strict midnight curfew at Glastonbury and they finished at around five past when they were only scheduled to play until 11.45pm. He had to get the nod to play the last song, if the organisers want they can pull the plug so they did literally play until they told them to stop.
  9. Jesus people are critical.. one of the best live performances I've ever seen. And easily best Glastonbury set in any recent memory, U2 included.

fairly sure most people weren't expecting them to play hey johnny park, aurora, marigold or something like low at glastonbury anyway?
