1. This song didn't even have its own topic, so now it has.

This song got a whole new life this tour
  2. I've always loved this track: loved especially when I used to hear Adam's bass growing slowly inside my headphones and then the final solo with that "yeeeah" (or at least it's what it sounds to me).
This is a really great song, 30 years later it's still a highlight. For how many other tunes can we say the same?
Hope it would get the same fate of Zooropa and Ultraviolet - forgotten songs become suddenly live staples.

My top 3 performances to date:
    1 - Melbourne, 1989-10-14
    2 - Gothenburg, 1987-06-06
    3 - Las Vegas, 1987-04-12
Bonus track: Pasadena, 2017-05-21 (the best from this tour so far)
  3. I really don't like the album version. But live its one of the best ever!
  4. studio version has problem, that verses are too silent... hardly can hear anything without volume on maximum... and then the heavy parts are too loud... But good song on album... excellent live, one of my all time favourites
  5. What a fabulous song. I feel it has the same rock feel as Until the End, Bullet, Gone (live). Hope it stays. Love it when they get loud!
  6. I like the album version but as mentioned above by Alvin the volume really is an issue. I can see what they were trying to do with having this big chorus hit you out of nowhere but it's just a bit too big a contrast for me. However live it really is a bit of a classic now, I definitely think it should take the place of Bullet in the next few tours, that would be a suitable swap and they wouldn't be sacrificing a hit to make room for it but we'll see. Anyway great song, one of my highlights when I seen it live.
  7. I think Exit has moved to the top 10 all time U2 performances. Here is a link to a YouTube video I made of stills taken through Exit. Hope you enjoy.

My CD player is decent and can hardly pick up Exit when it first start's playing
  9. Yeah it's even worse in the car which is where I end up listening to most of my music. I usually put a live version of it on a playlist so I only hear (don't hear) the album version when listening to TJT straight through.
  10. That low volume build up has always been the whole point of Exit. Building from nothing into a fury before settling back down again to close.

I get that, just annoying at times
