1. Werchter 1985-07-07 is hands down my favorite version. The audio quality leaves a little to be desired, but towards the end when it calms down to just the drums and the audience singing is amazing, and immediately after Bono belts out the "maybe the time is right" couplet, and man oh man it's amazing.
  2. 1989-12-11 - Paris

Last show I can remember hearing the 'time is right' part, good audio quality
  3. To me 1989-12-15 Dortmund (crazy crowd and Bono's singing was great) and 2005-06-10 Brussels, different intro, other vibe for the song
  4. The new outro is great. Wondering why they've never played it live before
  5. Popmart Cologne, perfect singing, perfect playing, and best well balanced Recording ever of any U2 concert. It sounds awsome in any kind of stereo modern or from 97. Regarding the new NYD 2017 version...that is why I love U2; always testing new colors, although lately they've become settled with a couple of 3 or 4 excellent songs out of an album. Don't get me wrong, last album is very good, but only Raised by Wolves, Sleep like a baby, and The Troubles have new ideas as the others are more common to the U2 catalogue. Cedarwood is excellent but doesn't bring anything they haven't done before. Joshua Tree is an excellent album, and they are honoring it very well...now play Pop in sequence to see what would be unique...try playing Staring at the sun like on the album and you'll all understand what I'm talking about. Edge is using similar guitar sounds with new "terrible" Miss Sarajevo version...anyway...Long live U2 with its good and bad things...for those who hate Miami and new Red Hill Mining version; apparently we love the same band, U2, and they keep asking us to think, to debate, to rebel, to have an opinion, to tolerate more, to respect difference and accept it, so you are very lucky to have a music band that in 2017 and for the past 40 years have been doing so. Cheers and good fortunate to us all, U2 and U2 start.com
  6. I'm going to say this tour for the simple fact that they are FINALLY playing the complete song and the best verse in the song...
  7. 1993-05-10 Rotterdam, Netherlands has the longest yell out of all live performances ever.
  8. best version for this tour
  9. and compare it 12 years earlier ...................i cringe every time
