1. Topic for track 12 of Songs Of Experience, LIBTAIIW.

    Lyrics:
The door is open to go through
If I could I would come too
But the path is made by you
As you're walking, start singing and stop talking

Oh, if I could hear myself when I say
Oh, love is bigger than anything in its way

So young to be the words of your own song
I know the rage in you is strong
Write a world where we can belong
To each other and sing it like no other

Oh, if I could hear myself when I say
Oh, love is bigger than anything in it's way

If the moonlight caught you crying on Killiney Bay?
    Oh sing your song
    Let your song be sung
If you listen you can hear the silence say
    When you think you're done
    You've just begun

Love is bigger than anything in its way
Love is bigger than anything in its way
Love is bigger than anything in its way
  2. Some info:
“I came up with the phrase, ‘Love is bigger than anything in its way.’ And I mean it,” he said. “And that is not an airy-fairy, flowers-in-the-hair version of love. I mean that most of the songs in the album are details of emotional landscapes rather than physical landscapes.” He continued: “I mean the thing that experience has taught me, above all else, is the primacy of fun and frolics and devilment and mischief and joy as a defiant act against our mortality, and that brings us back to rock ‘n’ roll. That’s where U2 came from.” (XiriusFM)
  3. It just wouldn't be a U2 album without an overly long song title...

I appreciate Bono's insistence, though, that is not supposed to be an "airy-fairy" view of love. U2's idealism plus realism is what has always drawn me to their lyrics and music.
  4. There are just way too many songtitles with "Love" in it lately...
  5. Yeah, some of these titles sound like a Hallmark card.
I guess we have to wait and see.
  6. The Title Is Crappier Than Anything In Its Way - hopefuly song will be better...
  7. This song is an epic one, really can't get the guitar tone out of my head.
  8. Without a doubt my favourite u2 song in over a decade maybe 2. What a message and what a way to get that message across. As a bit of a family man nowadays I’ll always be able to relate to it. Uplifting as well.
  9. This song is bigger than anything on its way. You get a sense of epicness the moment the drums kick in.
  10. Nice to know you’re digging it too mate.
  11. Can't wait to hear this live
