1. Why in gods name wasn't this the first single!?
The St Peter's String version is so good.
I am completely blown away how good this is!
  2. I really love the interplay of Bono and the guitar here, such a great groove. "What the hell, what the hell" harkens back to Hold Me Thrill Me.
  3. Anyone else just keep singing “I can see the lights in front of me” today?

Right, after the second time around, I've replaced the string version for the "regular"...

So good! Will make an awesome transition into Streets
  5. The outro reminds me of "Take Tomorrow" from the Hansa Tapes. Btw - I absolutely love it.
  6. Updated the lyrics.
  7. I want them to do a cheesy 80's video like Cowboy Bebop (the anime) or Firefly where Edge plays the guitar and the strings of his guitar extend and catch planets with his melody. I'm sure you have seen a video like that before.

That would be superb. This song has a real 'cowboy' vibe to it.
  9. cool song, some parts sound to me like would be a great show opener but some don't
  10. I don’t know if the tempo is right for an opener, that’s no critics towards the song though, it just needs to fit somewhere else in a live show I feel on the album it works well where it is. I think it’s that intro and the little fills that give the impression of a good opener though.
  11. This song to me is the most “Jacknife”, only because production-wise it sounds the most like what’s going on on The Killers new album. That being said, it’s also far better than anything on that album too.

This isn’t a critique, just an observation. He does pretty great work. Bye Eno and Lanois?
