1. Not so much into this one.
Would be a little more better without the orchestra part near the end, it's a little bit catchy, I'll give them that
For sure one of the low points of the album for me.
  2. "The Showman". Does anyone else think this title should be for a song thats purely rock n roll. With Edge tearing apart his guitar and not the poppy song they went with?

    No
  4. Based on the subject matter, I actually had imagined something like HMTMKMKM - but I am still enjoying the goofy sound of this one. It's the Trip Through You Wires or Tryin to Throw Your Arms...of this album, but a more important song to the general theme of the album.
  5. this song is awesome, i dont know how people likes vertigo, beautiful day, sweetest thing and hates this one

Ha, well thought. HMTMKMKM is actually The Showman: The Prelude.

    You've been stealing
From the thieves and you got caught
    You're a star

    Dressing like your sister
    Living like a tart
They don't know what you're doing
    Babe, it must be art

    Believing in yourself
Almost as much as you doubt
    You're a big smash

    Oh no, don't be shy
    There's a crowd to cry

They want you to be Jesus
They'll go down on one knee
But they'll want their money back
    If you're alive at thirty-three

That's as close as it gets to a punch in the face of show business and stardom.

(The last verse, "They want you to be Jesus... ... alive at 33" is quite probably my favorite verse of all time. It's just human hypocrisy at its best).

You said everything I wanted to reply to hedyzera's post.
(and something I hadn't thought about until the moment I read that post).

    My favourite too!
  9. I don´t like The Showman, It´s sounds too much like a song from the late 50´s or early 60´s.
  10. I’ve reached a conclusion about the Showman.
And that is I will fight anyone that doesn't love it.

Whenever I hear it I picture the band on the E stage and the crowd belting out “little more better”. Just an incredibly fun song.
  11. If it kicks elevation of the b stage and set list then I'm okay with it!!

    Oi, I'm not hedyzera
But anyhow - yeah, Sergio did it - I love that song! It just immediately popped into my head when reading early reviews of Showman.
