1. I am at the moment, don't know if I'll renew my membership by the end of next month.

What about you? Do you think U2.com can offer us something new after U2.communication?
  2. I'm not a u2.com member, I use to want to be but there are much better U2 sites out ther imo. If I want to watch the videos I can just go to youtube or someother place, lots of other forums out there, and the perks of being a member really aren't that great, and I don't see them improving in the future. U2Communication's great and stuff, but I was able to get it anyway. If they could garentee you would get first dibs at tickets, my opion would change

  3. I will become a paid member when the next tour will be annouced! So i can order tickets online
  4. I am and always will be cos it's the official site
  5. i absolutely am. its important to keep informed about real bands real rock n roll stars otherwise the pop idols and teeny boppers will take over. Lets not let it happen!!!
  6. At the moment ...yes. I think U2.com could be a lot better in given us the "first hand news" before any other site. Sometimes it seems like we are the last to hear new news. Perhaps the site will change for the better.

Yeah, and if they give us news at first they give inaccurate news. Like the U218 announcement, where they said there was a bonus CD with Milan tracks, after a WEEK they changed it to a DVD when a dozen other sites already knew it.

It looks like U2.com is in control of non-U2 fans.
  8. i am a member, and i'll likely sign up again. my membership comes up in late january, so the 'goodies' package should be well and sorted out....feel sorry for those getting the run around right now.

it's an odd collection of folks from all around the world. and mostly, things go well there, and i enjoy it!
  9. I am a member froma while back in the days of Propaganda. Why not.........it's only a few Euro, I'd spend that on Guinness in a couple of hours at the weekend.
  10. Thought I'd revive this topic....

I know there was a huge mess last tour with trying to get tickets to the fanclub members. My question is, would it be worth it to shell out the membership fee to get tickets, or did people generally not have any problems getting tickets for the last tour? I know I tried and they sold out almost instantly. I guess I could have bought them from a dealer/scalper, but I was just a poor college student at the time and couldn't pay the markups.

    Thoughts?
  11. absolutely not.

I had a huge advantage a few years ago, could get tickets through U2.com from 11 AM. At 11 AM I was still in my bed, visited U2.com and 2 past 11 I got myself some great tickets. Without any effort, without waiting in a line or even sleeping in a line.
