That was my first thought, too.

I'm not a Coldplay fanatic myself, more of a casual fan, I guess. I saw them live once in 2002 and they were pretty good.
Gonna buy the new album nevertheless.

Yeah...we need you to choose a song for the meaning of lyrics round table...check the topic!
(I'm asking Drew to post too...it's whoever gets there faster now! )
  5. Best Coldplay song for me is The Scientist...Wonder what they will come up with.
  6. hi all!
what do you think of the copying of coldplay from u2??
i think its a little anoying! they sound the same, have also performed in red rocks, have a singer ho think he's the next bono, going to release a new album inspired by a painting(''Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends''from a mexican painting by;Frida Kahlo wich is excactly the sam as UF wich was also there fourth album!)wich is also the new title for there new album and they do it with brian eno!!!
and btw i like them have all the albums and a dvd, but its just so the same to me, like they cant do nothing without u2..it bugs me a little

    what you guys/girls??
gonna buy the new album anyway

So, every band that plays Red Rocks and names an album after a painting is copying U2 (TUF was named after a PHOTO-exhibition btw.)?
It's obvious that they're influenced by U2, nobody denies that, but to affirm that they copy them is bollocks.
I could easily find you more similarities between U2 and the Beatles - do they copy them, too?

  8. coldplay is far behind u2.

Actually...recently I'm starting to find problems with Mr. Martin's voice...he doesn't sound good! I don't know why I didn't pay attention to this before...but it's been bugging me for a while now...what do you guys think?
  11. Never really liked his voice though, but I can live with it.
