1. Aren’t the colored bootlegs?
  2. Yes! Every one of them. Zooropa in its official capacity is black vinyl only. Anything else is a bootleg pressing.

I had to point this out to a local record store trying to flog me a purple one recently. In good faith, I should add.

Wonderful to see this reissue and in this format too. As for the other two, both are great to have but it is the Zooropa that is hitting the decks all night long!
If anyone else is getting these reissues you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

Looking forward to this, I just got the shipping confirmation; tracking number doesn't work yet...
  5. As someone who wants to get into vinyls, is it better getting the older Vinyls or the just released vinyls of Achtung Baby and Zooropa?

This would depend on some deciding factors for you. Chiefly expenditure.
If you shop around for an older copy then you will be obtaining the record as one piece of vinyl, 6 songs each side. As initially released. But at some cost.

These recent releases are double vinyl and sees the album stretched across 4 sides with the addition of remixes on side 4 for Zooropa.
The music may have gone through some clean up treatment for the more recent releases but the decision will ultimately land with you and your finances.

If you take this into consideration, for the price you would now pay for an excellent condition of either album in original format you could get considerably more for your outlay of money were you to purchase more of the reissues. Depends on if you are going to build up more vinyls by U2 of course.
When you break it all down it really is the music on these things that will bring you enjoyment.
Hope that helped you toward your decision.
  7. They have found a good way to sell again and again the same records, last year there was also the SHM-CD series in Japan (CD with mini-LP look-like packaging + better CD surface )

You know, they say it takes a whole pack of wolves to take down a moose, cuz one-on-one, that moose would smack them down. It's like being in the music business — you got your managers, your ex-managers, your ex-bandmates, your ex-labels, your ex-wives, your lawyers, your tax attorneys … hell, that sound more like a pack of hyenas to me. You know, I was once told by an ex-manager, "Son, you're worth more dead than alive. Cuz when you're dead, we can sell you off in pieces." That's the way it works around here. You don't believe me? Why don't you try asking Jim Morrison, or Jimi Hendrix, or Janis Joplin, or Kurt Cobain, or Amy Winehouse? I'm pretty sure they're gonna take my side of the story. Sometimes I think they're the lucky ones. They don't have to deal with these douchebags — cuz they're already dead … but I'm not dead yet!

Your not obliged to buy them you know? I'm glad they are re-issueing these albums because the prices asked on Discogs for the originals.
