I sang my heart out... had some tears in my eyes...interacted as best as I could with the rest of the crowd... it was truly a wonderful experience.

I don't want to die for a VERY long time but I fell I've lived a full life now.

I’m sure you were moved . Release in Rome was an out of body experience and one of the bests shows I’ve ever attended.
Full review when you catch your breath lol
  2. I know I owe you guys more but for now this is what I'll state:
-Long Road and Release to start a show? Are you kidding me? It (almost) makes up for the Release/Oceans Intro I missed in Detroit, 2014.
    - The next five songs were amazing.
    - Enjoyed the hits as much as always (although I will be the first to admit that Even Flow and Porch don't do it for me as much as they used to).
    - I gotta admit I loved hearing All Those Yesterdays and Help, Help
    - Complaints? Too many covers, tbh.
    - Confession: After a very long day of travel and singing my ass off for the duration of the show I was beat by the end and slowly headed towards the exit midway through RITFW (I really can't stand that song anymore). Heard the rest from outside. Admittedly, YL does little for me either.

Can't wait til tomorrow night. Hoping for more Vitalogy (Immortality? STBC?) and No Code (Hail Hail? In My Tree?). Still can't believe I haven't heard Jeremy once since I started attending shows regularly in 2011 - although I did get it way back in 1998.

I’m so done with RITFW. Luckily you guy it out of the way Night 1. And yes, way too many covers. I hope they leave that Brandi Carlisle cover in Seattle. It better not be played at Fenway
  4. I agree with there being way too many covers. It's like Wrigley 2016 all over again. Their soundcheck consisted mainly of covers too. They have a huge back catalogue, so they should probably sift through it. VERY jealous you got All Those Yesterdays, although Help Help is an absolute treat to hear live - especially with that Help transition. I heard it in Prague and it was the best part of the show.

I know what you mean by getting tired towards the end of the show. In Barcelona, I had been up at 3am for a flight to get there, walked around the city most of the day with a friend who lives there, in that time we got drunk and I sobered up by the start of the show, without sleep. So I was pretty tired and kinda wishing the show towards the end as the 3 hour mark approached. I love they do long shows and I wouldn't wish it any differently though.

Glad you had a great time! Tomorrow night can only get better.

I suppose I'll hear Baba tomorrow but I still dig that tune (although Fuckin Up would be nice).

I can't help but wonder what they'll open with seeing that they got both Long Road and Release "out of the way."
  6. Yup. Every show since 2013 (at least) has been filmed that way and shown on screans. Which means all those shows are available pro shot somewhere in the vaults.
  7. Oceans....
  8. Listening to Rome is on SiriusXM radio now .

    Just amazing.

Matt I agree with the covers .... RITFW and yes even YL are so played out .
I also bailed at my show to beat the crowds once RITFW started .

I gotta admit I’ll never tire of YL. I adore it
  10. Oddly enough, Ten has been dropping in my PJ album ranking of late. Obviously it's a great record (and a very "important" one) but aside from live versions of Release, Black, and Alive I would rather hear Vs through Yield these days. Not sure why that is - but it is what it is.
