1. That's awesome! I'm sure Bono would love it - poor guy, first time he's seen with a cigarette in years and they have to remove the post! Cool that he's hanging around with Nick Cave.

They maybe removed it because he was worried about getting a hard time of Ali lol.

The difference of his voice 1989/Early 1990 to his 1991 voice is huge, which shows that LT tour did alot harm on hus vocal Chords.

Good point. I find it odd when people talk about his vocals on Lovetown being so great. He was clearly straining and as you said, most likely did some permanent damage.

On a side note- When he lost his voice in Berlin he sounded dry as hell. The flying and the climate controlled environment is pretty awful for your vocal cords as well.

  5. I hope you have nothing against black roses
  6. Well....I’m a gardener.really
  7. Wild rose would be better for Nick

Lovetown and previous tours he strained his voice as he hadn't had proper vocal lessons it might sound good at a gig but it made him use his voice in a more measured way during Zoo TV and other tours as he could never have continued singing that way without doing serious damage . I don't know when he got vocal lessons but certainly post 2000 he started singing in a more controlled way without doing too much damage.
