Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 79
  1. "The Little Things" some time ago was called "The Morning After Innocence", and that song is the bridge between Innocence and Experience. That's why it was played during the "bridge" tour.

But why it's wasn't played at every show... well, that is a mystery. Maybe they weren't so sure about it after first crowd reactions.

  2. Yeah. Things have changed a bit it seems, looking at a window from 2nd week Nov to 1st week Dec now. Announcement after Christmas.

  3. I think the rumour is that Australia may indeed exist! LN may want this to be proven as fact, before they'll agree that U2 can tour there though

I've heard no recent news (not that that is unusual).

I do see a guy quite regularly (here in Europe), who has been part of the crew on every leg since some time during 360. Last time I spoke to him about it (in early November), I said to him "so I guess I'll be seeing you in Oz around Sept-Nov next year". All I got from him was a knowing smirk. But, being optimistic, I'll take that as a sign. Pretty much 12 months earlier he did say not to give up hope of an incarnation of TJT tour touring Oz.

Note, he's not a decision maker in any way, just one of the many, many crew that tour with the band.

Thanks for the news Remy, though it pains me. I normally fly north for the winter by early November, may have to delay things next year - if Brexit actually let's me fly north anyway.

If it is a stadium tour, Sydney may be without a decent, large venue by then.

The 75,000 seat ANZ stadium - where the Olympics were held & U2 played Vertigo & 360 - is up for refurbishment, soon after the rugby league grand finals September. I thought, if the tour was Sept-Nov, there was a chance U2 may have been the final act before the refurb. But Nov-Dec may be too late.

The 45,000 Allianz Stadium - previously known as the SFS & where U2 played Zoo TV & PopMart - is about to be bulldozed & rebuilt any day now (the contract has been signed for it's demolition).

Both of these projects are very unpopular with the general public. So what will actually happen before the state government goes to an election in March is anyone's guess.

The new, smaller, Western Sydney Stadium at Parramatta will be finished by mid-2019. But it only has a capacity of 30,000, so it's not that much bigger than the 22,000 seat Qudos Arena.

Certainly must be making negotiations interesting, if it's to be a stadium tour.

Cheers for the update Remy. So looks like it’s still on the cards then?

You mean the yellow bridge in Pittsburgh?

    You mean mystery Bad?
  8. Very. Confirms the obvious that the tour was meant to go on into 2016. Dirty Day a nearly for Belfast 2, the reasoning behind still playing the Innocence section. I'd love more of this.
  9. Absolutely brilliant and there’s still part 2 to come. So I think it would be fair to say Berlin 2 changed everything, where they wanted to film, changing the setlist. It probably turned out to be a blessing in disguise (except for those who were there at Berlin 2 that couldn’t make the rescheduled date, genuine sympathy goes to them).
  10. We already know whose brain scans were on the screen though. Bono’s. Was confirmed already in IQ Magazine.
