1. Usually announced on a Monday.
  2. Hope is not a strategy people. I wouldn't expect anything for a while.
  3. An announcement a few days from now would be a year to the day since the 2018 European dates were announced. Obviously don't get your hopes up too much, but I'd at least wait a few days before ruling out the prospect entirely.
  4. The rumored timeframe for the shows is Nov-Dec, so there is absolutely no need to worry if we don't hear anything just yet.
  5. They're probably held up trying to confirm with the New South Wales government whether Sydney will have any stadiums available for them to play in.

While plans to demolish ANZ (Olympic) Stadium appear to have been scuppered, they are gung-ho on demolishing the Sydney Football (Allianz) Stadium where Zoo-TV was recorded. [It's barely 30 years old!]
  6. The same rumours surfaced during the Elevation tour the band were supposed to tour in 2002 but pulled the plug on it ,during the recent Dublin gigs Bono stated that "you won't be hearing from us for a long time" there was a real sense that they are going on an indefinite hiatus whether that's end of tour syndrome or not remains to be seen.
  7. That's correct... just over 3 months before first shows. The original Vertigo dates were announced in November for March shows, and Popmart was announced in October for February shows. So it's always been 3-4 months here in Australia. But the last few tours U2 have been announcing shows 6-12 months in advance for US and Europe.

This is valuable info, had no idea. I wonder why the Aussie/NZ announcements are always closer to the dates than in the rest of the world
  9. I'd sy because the leg is always just randomly added on halfway through a tour as an after thought
  10. I remember they were lining up stadium shows for 2002 but then ended up scrapping it.
