a third (!) iem-aud matrix of the JT 2017-07-30 Amsterdam ArenA (2nd night) has been made available thanks to
    @Dutch_Baker, @Heitelan_Taper (Fryslân Boppe ), @MLKLuke and @hoserama (aka sharebear).

It's so good that even I like this matrix

Bad news, I suppose, if you like your "1-2-3-4 tech talk" high in the mix, because this one seems to be void of any
Even the metronome shakers are very low, which makes this matrix a truely enjoyable matrix from one of the best shows I ever attended

This genuine 5-star "boot" is availlable both in FLAC and 320kb/s mp3's for your portable music device.

Seriously folks, this one is truely awesome...

At this point I would also like to give special mention to @U2Torrents for being such a wonderful and generous place
for U2 tapers and U2 audio lovers, such as myself. Thanks for being such a fine friend to U2Start and all the U2 fans out there!

Let us cling together as the years go by & Happy New Year's Day to you too

    Cheers!

    THANK YOU. It's Amazing!

    Blasphemy...

I jest, we are all fans and linked by our love of the band, here, there and everywhere.

Cheers U2Start... keep the spirit of sharing alive

  3. UPDATE: Thanks to @AnselmoLopes we now have the famous 1987-04-29 Rosemont Horizon recording by RickB also available from the Moonchild Records bootleg

And contrary to Moonchild Records claim, this is not a soundboard recording. It is just one of the best audience recordings ever made

Likely Moonchild Records did their own remaser.

Isn't the moonchild release lossy too? Somebody sent it to me, and I noticed there was no audio above 16khz.

In that case, it would be a lossy version of the RickB audience (which is already on the recordings list). At best, they did a remaster. Seems redundant? Just my two cents.

Now that you mention it, they are absolutely lossy: frequency rarely comes above 14kHz...
I admit I din't check (and I never expected this amount of consistency from Moonchild Records either )

It is very strange. There is absolutely no need to make lossy silvers since lossless sources are more than widespread. Moonchild probably figured that their ROSEMONT 429 should yield the same spectrum readings as their Wolfgang's Vault "rips"...

    It's silly...

Still I think it is good to have these things filed and documented. Any silver collector should be warned...

  6. Imagine if you paid for it!

I suspect it's a straight mp3 rip from one of the many other bootlegs of the show.
  7. Cutting at 14kHz would mean it's a .... 128 kbps mp3 rip! Do you really think they'd do that!?
  8. Maybe MoonChild's QA team was on vacation?
  9. It's not that bad Sergio...cut-off at 14KHz more likely occurs at 192kb/s...

And it is not my rip. @AnselmoLopes says he got it from Guitar101...

I've always had The Session's/Jeremy's reference, and looking back at it I was actually being a bit generous with 128 kbps

    bit rate // cut-off frequency // compression
    1411kbps >> 20kHz .......1 : 1
    320kbps >> 19.5kHz ......1 : 4.4
    192kbps >> 18kHz .........1 : 7.3
    160kbps >> 17kHz .........1 : 8.8
    128kbps >> 16kHz .........1 : 11
    96kbps >> 15kHz ...........1 : 14.7
    64kbps >> 11kHz ...........1 : 22
    32kbps >> 5kHz .............1 : 44

No idea if this is 100% true though, I've never done the test myself - I've just had this index as a mental reference for years.
