If it’s a great song but the crowd aren’t into it then I’ll take it and not care what everyone else is doing .
true, if you really don't like the songs than that's fair enough, but most of us secretly do love them (played live). Not my first choices for a setlist, but they worked perfectly after Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Year's Day, Bad, Pride and the entire Joshua Tree!!! Did you just read that? Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Year's Day, Bad, Pride and the entire Joshua Tree... but still you are free to vote for E&I Like I said before, the best coaches and football players also chose Modric over Messi and Ronaldo.. completely insane, but I can understand the sentiment

I definitely don’t secretly love them, I think they are decent enough songs but inferior to the vast majority of u2 songs. Sunday Bloody Sunday is good not great, pride we can get on any tour but is a very good song , New Year’s Day and Bad were great no question as was TJT. It’s not Messi or ronaldo vs modric for me it’s more like Messi vs Ronaldo which is very close.
  3. I was talking about Modric just to point out that people often/sometimes like to vote for the underdog... of course he's an amazing player, but to give him the golden ball is just a big mistake. I feel exactly the same about the E&I tour, it was certainly enjoyable, but it's insane to prefer it over JT30.... of course it's always a matter of taste, but to be honest, I'm not that impressed with the arguments I've read up to now.

I know that’s what you were referring to with modric, I was suggesting it’s more like ronaldo vs Messi because I don’t think it’s a case of an underdog at all I think it’s a case of a differing opinion about things that are pretty equal, as I said before I’m glad the vote is quite well evenly spread as the 3 tours were all great.

Ronaldo and Messi is more like I&E and JT30... I&E (Ronaldo) was very solid, but JT30 (Messi) just had more quality. E&I is not even in the game in my opinion. They skipped the whole Joshua Tree and the best song of their new album.

Well that’s where we have to end the conversation and accept that neither of our opinions are fact but also neither are wrong.

I know it's only an opinion, but sometimes you can feel the sentiment is wrong.. we can be happy about Wild Horses or Acrobat, but in the mean time we missed some all time great live songs like Streets, Bullet, Until The End Of The World and some others... great they mixed things up a bit, but we missed quality... the new songs are just not good enough live, apart from the last two songs... but even that couple felt a bit out of place.. I&E had a much better mix, but of course that was after a long break... E&I felt a bit like a compromise... the addition of the Zoo TV sequence probably saved the tour, but still I rate it as their worst (still very enjoyable)... but that's what happens when you tour 3 out of 4 years....

I think you are struggling to accept people’s differing opinion from your own, you are stating some views almost as fact and that just simply isn’t the case, you have to accept that the views are varied and whilst yours aren’t wrong neither are others.
  9. It's a great question! I enjoyed highlights from all three tours. But I'm going to go with JT30 partly because I'm still enjoying listening to it as much as E&I.
  10. Actually I believe that E&I and JT30 complement each other rather then top each other. As far as I&E goes I pretty much burned myself out on it waiting for JT30. The fact that E&I covered a lot of I&E is a big minus for E&I, but they managed to redeem themselves with Acrobat and the ZOO TV section.
  11. I+E was the more exciting tour and it's the only one out of the three I didn't see. The Setlist variation, the fan interaction, their first tour in 4 years or so, etc. It had the excitement of a new campaign after a long absence, nothing beats the feeling of "U2 is back." The other tours were great, loved JT30 more than I thought I would, was epic. I love E+I too but I don't get high on it like I do other tours, though they were in fine form. I applaud it for being focused on new material and for the balls of not playing anything from JT, though I really missed Streets. All in all, 3 amazing tours in 4 years. Each with excellent songs.

that would be a bad thing, but I don't think I'm doing that.... that's why I came up with the Modric thing.. like I said before, I do understand the sentiment, but people seem to forget about the main thing... Modric is just a good soccer player, nothing more, nothing less....Wild Horses was great and the highlight, but Until The End Of The World is probably a better live song.. it's fine if you enjoy the new songs, but I don't think you should prefer a tour because it had Wild Horses, Acrobat and Stay.... yes, it did, but it was also missing a lot of all time (big) favourites... JT had Exit, Mothers Of The Disappeared, Trip, God's Country, One Tree Hill, Red Hill, Running To Stand Still and more.... I'm ok with different opinions, I just don't agree with the arguments and I feel there is some weird kind of bias toward E&I...
And of course this was the worst U2 show ever:
