  2. #FakeNews From memory, no one has ever done 4 nights at ANZ, even Ed Sheeran only did 3 shows last year. They'd also never bypass Auckland and Wellington for Christchurch
  3. This seems Like its really going to happen

Hopefully we get an announcement sometime before the end of March
  4. Yeah, I didn't notice there was no Brisbane dates either. No way they're not going to play Brisbane I'd say.

3 nights in Sydney for the Vertigo tour (ANZ stadium end-stage setup), 2 nights for 360 (ANZ stadium in-the-round setup).

I'd guess their popularity has waned a bit, so no more than 3 nights with an end-stage set up I'd guess. Unless it's in a smaller capacity stadium than ANZ stadium, such as the SCG or the new Western Sydney stadium.

    Which brings me to......

I was at that Vertigo show too. You're right, very hot in the GA line in November, the rain was a welcome relief during the show. Also Popmart, had a summer storm, but that was February, so more normal. "Don't let Fred Nile rain on your parade". Haha, brilliant Bono Amazing night, especially when Bono got all the house lights turned off in the stadium, during a tribute to Michael Hutchence. In the dark, watching lightning crashing over the sky, pretty awesome moment!

    (2) I think the government has sensibly backed down on demolishing ANZ stadium or at least postponed it until after Allianz (host of Zoo-TV) is re-built, so it would be available.

Any Stadium tour would have to slot in between football and cricket seasons, which is why the last two tours have been November / December.
Yeah, ANZ will now be refurbished, not knocked down. But last I heard it was scheduled for demolition straight after the NRL grand final, in early October 2019.

Do you have any more recent news? It's hard to find anything concrete on this. Google came up with this article, from back in September 2018.

    https://www.smh.com.au/politics/nsw/anz-stadium-revamp-should-be-postponed-parliamentary-committee-finds-20180927-p506ey.html

A parliamentary inquiry found that the ANZ redevelopment should be postponed until after the Allianz stadium rebuild is complete. Pretty obvious that this should be the case, but who knows if the NSW government actually followed the recommendations, probably not

Have to admit, I hope ANZ stadium is unavailable. It's always hot as hell waiting in the GA line at that concrete jungle. As you say, even Vertigo in November was hot. It's a bloody long drive for me, & public transport there sucks from the northern beaches (I'm nowhere near a train line). Plus there's not really any affordable hotels or Airbnb apartments near by.

SCG would be nice. Not sure if I've ever seen a concert there. Close to the city, cooler weather, lots of accommodation options to choose from.
