1. I can't justify a trip down under to see TJT17 tour again .
If they play halfway - Cambodia/Vietnam I would be tempted to take a holiday and combine with a U2 show as a bonus.
  2. If it was 1993 again and Zoo tv and a chance to see it live again, yep I'd go to the moon to see that show live

Completely agree with this the time to do TJT down under was after South America at the tail end of 2017 ,I can't see the band wanting to do that again while they may use TJT stage I could see them doing a mix of both SOI and SOE but if they go outdoors they may need a whole new approach with some fresh ideas maybe they could surprise people with a new EP or possibly an album or a Greatest Hits tour with some new songs they've nothing to lose at this point so anything is possible.
  4. I wish for you folks down under that you could somehow get a mix of SOI/SOE and get some of those deep cuts from JT. They could just put the CR graphics on the big JT screen, or the Blackout intro.

They get too tied down to their stage productions, and there’s no wiggle room. It probably has to either be all JT or all SOE tour. BecUse the narratives are SO IMPORTANT!
  5. Perhaps they could do what Bruce Springsteen did for The River Tour… he started out playing the full album every show (as I got to see in St. Louis - amazing!!!), but as the tour continued the setlists became more fluid and mixed, while still being The River tour. Maybe they’ll do that, a similar tour that’s not a carbon copy.

And if they use the tree stage, I’ve got a good name suggestion:

The Shadows and Tall Trees Tour 2019.
  6. With U2 I don't think shortage of ideas is a problem. They usually bundle their tours to meet multiple ends.
  7. Having shelled out $$$ to be at the JT30 opener in Vancouver, my preference is that they bring something else to Sydney. A good 8-12 songs from SOI+SOE with the rest from elsewhere in their catalogue would reward fans for patience.

Will they want to tour SOE and SOI again?I can't see them playing a lot of those songs again especially if they go outdoors maybe 2 or 3 from each but who knows nobody in their wildest dreams thought they would tour TJT for it's 30th anniversary as they always maintained that they'd never become a nostalgic act.
  9. The Joshua Tree is a completely different kettle of fish to SOI and SOE. It wouldn't surprise me to see maybe (hopefully) nothing but EBW or the Little Things played again from those two albums. They'll always come back to the Joshua Tree. It made them

Not necessarily the Unforgettable fire was a massive success as was War there isn't a song as good as Bad,Unforgettable fire,Pride ,Sunday bloody Sunday, NYD,Drowning Man on TJT IMO.
  11. Surely if they go down under they would tour the newer albums maybe with a bit of Lovetown in there.TJT is 2 years ago now.
