1. It's a paradox: half the stuff they try live I wish they'd drop a lot quicker than they do, like the innocence suite on the experience tour. But then on the otherside it'd be nice to see them sticking it out a bit longer than they do with others, like with miracle drug on the innocence tour

The Innocence "suite" made no sense whatsoever, it shouldn't have been there since Tulsa. But yeah, there are times when you wish they tried harder and kept some of the gems they dig out every now and then. Miracle Drug is an example, but so are Kite on VT, Crystal Ballroom and Two Hearts on IE... Not to mention ASOH on the JT30 tour which still counts as one of the biggest disappointments for me.
  3. That Vertigo Kite was awesome - didgeridoo and extended solo made it highlight of the shows... best version for me.
But don't mind Miracle Drug, this song is pretty boring to me...
Glad I caught ASOH on second Amsterdam show, but not playing it in Dublin was one of their biggest faults in their career

To be honest although the atmosphere was amazing from where i was standing at Dublin 2017, the setlist was pretty poor. I think the band go on stage later than usual too so there was literally no room for any more songs.

Athmosphere was amazing until WOWY - then people started to go for piss and beer breaks - and really crowds of people... and started to leave show during One
  6. Are You Gonna Wait Forever is one of those few U2 songs I never much cared for, but I listened to it again a couple of days ago and it’s actually pretty good. It’s a b-side, sure, but it’s got some pure U2 lyrics in the middle.
  7. U2's last FIVE album covers have all featured black and white photos of them. I literally did not notice this until now. U2 should watch From the Sky Down, particularly that "scene" where they're talking about how boring the black and white, over-serious photos became.

Interesting point that I hadn't thought about, either...although, to be fair...
    1) Bomb had the color red featured pretty prominently, too
    2) NLOTH only had the band featured on the back side, not the front.
    3) SOE was two of their kids, not the band themselves...(and had some blue as part of the color scheme, too?)

Still, I'm with you that creative album design has been lacking. Though I do like the emphasis on their kids with SOI/SOE.

I'd put some U2 B-Sides against many bands A-Sides.....I'm looking at you Chris Martin.....

Yeah, I shouldn't have included "of them" - I guess I just meant that they're all black and white (apart from the colour on Bomb, as you said!).

I also like the emphasis on their kids, but yeah - I'm ready for some colour!
