A tour in Australia will no doubt happen at some point but they toured hard 15,17 and 18.Unusual for U2 so some rest is well overdue and whether you like it or not theyre getting old.

We shall see. I have an acquaintance that has toured with the band since 360. He's actually sitting 10m away from me now, serving drinks. Meeting was total random chance, nothing to do with the U2 community.

He hasn't offered up anything since November, so I genuinely have no idea what's happening now. But things were in motion back in November.

People get to know people, whether they meet them in U2 community, or by chance.

Up to you whether you believe me or not.
  4. DanialGowans it wasnt meant to sound offensive,im just blown away how many almost expect a tour announcement, please dont build yourselves up for a fall.We all love U2 and i'd love more material but give them and us time to recharge.

Yeah mate ive no doubt youre right there,my work mate was at i+e in 2015 with an Irish bloke who knows Bono well and also tours with the band,he told him Bono was in alot of pain at the time(from the bike accident if i remember right) plus he has had health issues since plus he is knocking on 60 but you do hear rumours.
Imo its very unlikely U2 are going to tour in the next 18 months.I may be very wrong and hope i am but people should look at the bigger picture.
  6. Finally some common sense is starting to pervade the forum, hosing down this damn rumor which is like, actually even worse than, Chinese water torture! For the love of god someone official put us ur long suffering Southern Hemisphere (shrinking) number of fans out of our misery!! Please !
  7. So what happened?
I went into U2.com to buy tickets and found nothing!
  8. The only ones that will be offended are aussies (like myself) New Zealanders and Asia who are dying to see them

No I was apologising not at ur comment directly, rather for the unpopular vibe u get around here ( funnily enough most from areas that have had a chance at least to see u2 up to three times since our last time 9yrs ago - funny that ) when taking a pessimistic take on this stupid tour !

  11. G E N E R A L SALE TODAY FOR THE BIGGEST TOUR IN AUS/ASIA

    Because we dreamed so...
  12. good one. Now, honestly, I haven‘t laughed as much for a long time. And I really can‘t get over, that some people here believe obviously that this tour will happen for sure. That some people here motivate others by their statements to follow this hysteria and spread it. With anonymous sources or own conclusions being the basis? Me, as having been a U2 fan for nearly 35 years now, I do dream as most people here of new albums and tours, new horizons of art, music and creativity. And I’m always curious for rumours leading in these directions, though trying to be not too enthusiastic about them, before they become more credibile. For now? What I do know is Bono retreating from the stages of Dublin IV and Berlin III saying to play here no more for only God knows when, The Edge/Adam/Larry talking about a (long) break and Dallas confiirming recently, that U2 will rest this year. Being this a rumours thread, here in Germany some U2 fans, I know, do talk about, there will be no tour this year - and maybe never ever again. Others talk about Down Under, NZ and Asia. With this forum being the main source. So we have to wait and see. That is all for the moment, folks, and - I love this U2start Forum!
