1. Is this Beck version sped up slightly compared to the album version? I have to admit it’s way better than the album version. He’s given it a poppier feel, and made it more interesting. Hopefully U2 play it like this in Europe.
  2. In response to the title of the thread in my experience yes it is. Oh and sensational song as well.
  3. Absolutely sensational song. Pure U2.

Sing your song, let your song be sung!
  4. It's a classic, love playing it on guitar!
  5. The albumversion is ok, somewhat overproduced and over the top, during the E&I tour more than half of the song was prerecorded.I don't like it. The BBC version was the best.
  6. If the moonlight caught you crying on Killiney Bay
    Oh, sing your song
    Let your song be sung
If you listen you can hear the silence say
    "When you think you're done
    You've just begun"

Tbh for me the one of best lyrics even since AB

    +1
very strange how i like very much this song since BBC set . the introduction is just perfect
whereas i use to skip it when i listen to the album or to IE concert
  8. When you listen to LIBTAIIW, you should really focus on Larry's drumming. There's some really cool, unique drumming work on this track.

    I completely agree with you.

Completely agree. One of the things that I liked from the beginning when I became a fan in 1984 was Larry Mullen's unique drumming. Listen to the studio version of Bad, esp the cymbals. Fascinating!
  11. Found this
  12. Can't help but think if this song was on ATYCLB or released in the early 00s it would have been a massive hit.
