1. love that song. in parts you can hear he sounds like Bono.
I would love to see albums from these guys.
  2. Gallagher’s daughter has been photographing the band, and Hewson himself.

  3. Seeing Inhaler on 10th June in Blackpool, they are supporting Courteeners along with The Coral. Should be good. Hoping Bono is in the crowd as I can imagine he’d love Blackpool 👍

I'll be at that gig too. Thought it would have sold out by now.
  5. I brought 2 on the presale but added another last week... strange it hasn’t sold out. Remember buying a Blur ticket for the same venue 2 days before that date back in 2015.
  6. Whoa I REALLY like that new tune.

Man, it's funny how so many of us are like "HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!" when it comes to this band for the obvious reason, but at the same time - there's got to be a further link between us liking U2 and liking this band besides just "the singer is Bono's son".

I guess what I'm referring to is, there must be some kind of cadence to Eli's voice that we can all hear and say "oh I like this singer", and that adoration for a specific sound and tone has to be the same thing we like about Bono's voice, or at least it's similar. Their music also definitely has a sort of airy, new-wave timelessness to it that U2's older stuff had - despite the fact that it doesn't really sound like U2 at all either.

I'm excited to see where these guys go, and I really hope it's only up. For a long time I think a lot of people thought Coldplay were the heirs to the U2 throne, but that sort of dried up as they got more poppy and radio-friendly. It may be a little early to say so, and it definitely helps that Eli is Bono's son, but it'd be really cool to see this band become THAT big, and become THAT band. I'm not even sure if it's possible anymore with the current musical climate (rock is basically dead in the mainstream, at least here in North America) - but I'd love to see it happen. It'd be like Rock royalty passing the crown onto the son, etc.

Oh God, that’d be a perfect scenario. I imagine rock will have an uptick in popularity in some shape or form in the coming years - these things do go in cycles, don’t they??

I agree on their sound, too - timeless airy new wave is a perfect description. I’d add a fair bit of U2’s more recent stuff in that category (not the 90s really, but since then it often fits) though not as explicitly as Inhaler’s output.
