Starting with Boots. But hey, maybe they actually enjoy this these types of songs more than some of my more recent favourites (like SLABT, The Troubles, LIAWHL, Red Flag Day & Summer of Love)

100% this !!! We are going to have to stop agreeing with each other lol JK

Also got 2 tickets for B314 (Row F).

My dream: A great view of the red screen and the skyline of Sydney!

Lucky kids. have a great show!

  4. Opposition by area residents?

There have been tons of shows over the years at the football stadium next door to the SCG. The band played there on both ZooTV and Popmart.

That leads me to my next question:

Why can't the band play at the Sydney Football Stadium if they won't play at ANZ this time around?

    It is currently being demolished!

  6. Tickets for Sydney was smooth hell I waited until today for 2 GA, if a fellow U2Start needs my code for 2 other tickets message me....
  7. "Tons of shows" is a bit of an exaggeration; in the last decade or so there would only have been a handful of gigs there each year.
  8. I think quite often our views end up being quite similar. Nothing wrong with some healthy disagreement anyway Time for me to look in the setlist thread, & disagree with everybody there

Can't wait til November, hope we all have a great time.
  9. Yeah I saw it on the news the other day, was shocked how quickly it was torn down. Hopefully with all that construction & jackhammering the residents will be tone deaf to loud noises, & won't be complaining about a couple of 2 hour concerts.

Like many New South Welshmen, I was opposed to the demolition of the SFS. But I am looking forward to the band visiting the new stadium, which should be finished in 2022. It will be a rectangular stadium, much like Suncorp. With a smaller (football) sized field than ANZ, & steeper tiers no doubt. So I'd expect views for the seats will be great, & hopefully sound quality is good too. Plus there will be some decent public transport in by then
  10. Scored 3 x Category 3 seats in Bay 15 through Live Nation presale within less than a minute of signing in. Very happy 😁
  11. EDIT: Edited on 13th June, to include more pricing data. Finally some $60 seats!

The location of the sound/video booths is a bit of a worry. I'd presume there is two & they are located where shown on the Perth map. In this case I'd expect sections 18 & 25 to be the best Category 3 seats, & section 318 to be the best Category 5 seats (if they are indeed Cat 5). Lower level seats aren't as effected by the relay towers, as the equivalent higher level seats. This is because the trusses aren't as obstructive as the speakers that sit atop them.

I've been having a play on the Live Nation presale too. Not purchasing tickets today, just getting an idea how the seat pricing works. Specifically for the SCG, though I guess this information can be used as a guide elsewhere.

Hopefully this map can help people out in the general sales, & all the sales for the second concert.

If anyone wants to help out, CAN YOU SEND ME INFORMATION ABOUT TICKETS YOU'VE PURCHASE. Just the COST, the SECTION, & the ROW. PM is probably best.

    What else have I learn?

It looks like there will be 2 sound/video booths this tour, in 2017 there was only one. They are not penises on the map The only seat map I've seen that displays the sound booths & relay towers is the Perth (Optus stadium) map. The seat pricing map I've produced supports this as Bays 13-15 and 27-27 have not been sold (limited view) ticket haven't been sold yet. Obviously these have just been plonked on this may, so they aren't accurate. Especially the relay towers.

The VIP Party Experience looks like it will be held in the Steve Waugh Room. A corporate event function room located in the Victor Trumper stand. I assume this is correct, as the section is labelled as WAUGH.

VIP Gold Hot Seats are located in the front of the Bill O'Reilly stand, in sections 5 & 6.

VIP Silver Hot Seats are located in the front of the Brewongle Stand, in section 4.

Looks like the allocation of GA's is finally exhausted. Took 8 hours to sell out. Brisbane & Adelaide still have them. You can buy 4 in each city!
  12. BAY313 = CAT2 (for example Row Y, Seats: 24-25 and Row Z, Seats 26-29)
