Joshua Tree Tour 2019
Legs (1): New Zealand, Australia and Asia
Shows: 15
  1. I guess the only thing that's surprising is that in 2019 there's still people that haven't heard of them, & are dopey enough to get ripped off. Actually that's not very surprising, there's some pretty dopey people about
  2. Does anyone know from what time on you have to queue with a RZ ticket to get a spot at the front? I know that I had number 25 in Berlin last November when I arrived at (I think it was) 4 or 4.30pm. But that was an arena concert and now it's stadium.
I thinking of buying a RZ ticket for the 2nd show. But if I have to queue the entire day like for the normal GA area, I would not spend so much money.
  3. Nobody can know this. But if I was a betting person I'd say arriving at 3pm should get you a rail spot. Total guess though. Think I was about number 40 with a 4pm arrival on 360, got rail. But that was a different time, in a different country. May be different between venues, may vary between countries too.

I was thinking of the same time +/-

This is slightly off topic but... I'm planning on getting to the Melbourne show super early to try and get on the rail. What do people normally do if they need to go to the toilet etc?? Obviously queuing all day nature will call eventually...

They are not that strict, hahaha.

You can obviously go for a bathroom break, grab lunch, etc.

Get to know the people in the line next to you, they will look out for you and you'll do the same to them.

The line is great imo, socially, you meet many different people from all over.

As has been mentioned, they're not that strict. You'll be able to leave to go to the toilet. Some venues overseas even had a system where you could leave, & return at around 3pm! I've seen venues that have set up porta loos just for the GA line. Others, like ANZ have toilets right near the line.

The line's not the problem. Once you're inside the venue, that's when the problem might start. Arena shows aren't too bad (as long as you go early, before the band starts), as the floor is small. But for stadium shows, the GA crowd is huge. If you're on the rail of the main stage you don't want to have to fight your way through that crowd. If you have to go, go very early. After the crowd had settled (so nobody takes your rail). But once the show starts, forget about it!

So for stadium shows, particularly when it's hot, I really keep an eye on my hydration levels. There's a science to this!

Drinking heaps & heaps in the morning, & peeing lots. I'll tone it down by midday, & stop soon after. Hopefully I've had my last pee not long before we go in the stadium.

This is very venue dependent, but I also like to take a drink in, if I'm allowed. Some venues will let you, some won't. My favourite is a couple of poppers, juice boxes, or whatever you call them. Along with a couple of energy bars. Or a water bottle, if they're allowed. Quite often they want to to remove the lid of the bottle (so it's not a deadly projectile), so I keep a spare lid stashed on my person, because an uncapped bottle at a rock concert just isn't going to work out
  8. Not really sure what the hold up is regarding the 2nd Melbourne show. Melbourne is pretty much sold out, except for one extremely overpriced section towards the back of the lower level. Probably a couple hundred tickets available in that section only... kind of weird. The same section on the opposite side of the stadium is sold out.

  10. Quite nice to offer.

But I would be a bit wary myself if I had already bought tickets using the same code.

Whether through ignorance or malice the person who you shared the code with could buy more then 2. Possibly getting all the tickets cancelled.
