  1. The only thing I hate about the Glastonbury concerts is THE STUPID FLAG Waving !
STOP IT ! It´s very annoying trying to enjoy seeing your favorite band on stage and then seeing hundreds of flags in front of it. > Every concert is like that !
What is up with all those flags !? The whole idea is stupid !

To see where your friends are in the crowd? To get your flag on TV
  3. Do you have a flag?

  4. A good mix of songs, think they should have relaxed a bit more so it felt like a festival appearance and not like a tour show, the rain didn’t help, he should have not sung the Yellow snippet as that had the biggest singalong all night. Didn’t help that Coldplay and Beyoncé followed on the others nights and are now seen as lengendary performances... U2’s sadly isn’t, great version of Bad though.
  5. This was my first proper dose of live U2, watching the fly and sbs really turned me into a fan!
  6. Heading down to the farm tonight, beyond excited!

Fond memories of watching the 2011 broadcast with my best pal, such a shame the weather was horrendous and never let up. The setlist was 90% perfect for the occasion, just a shame the band were so nervous. Edge messing up the intro to Streets and the awful start to EBTTRT really stood out at the time.
  7. It was an okay performance, but lacked that Glasto magic.

The crowd didn't really know whether to go 'wow' or 'wha?'

Should have binned Stay, Boots (oh why oh why did they play this car crash?) and MOM (even though I like this track the crowd would've been 'huh?'), and threw in these for example NY Day, AIWIY and LIB for MOM - and played One near the end not so early in the setlist.

7/10 - could do better. Wasted opportunity to go down as a legendary performance.

Watching The Killers smash it on Saturday night they had the whole crowd on side has got me thinking about U2's performance the audience were very standoffish maybe it was the bad weather and as someone previously mentioned the band needed to relax more and just let loose instead of bringing the tour show which didn't help obviously having not done festivals since the 80s they looked a bit nervous and vulnerable some of the song choices were a bit strange New years day Electric co and Gloria should have been in there to stir up the crowd instead of Boots,MOS and Stay, they didn't play badly but it just wasn't one of those special nights that they have pulled off so often .
  9. Version without the lady talking
  10. God that timing foul up is still horrendous to listen to, to this day. I still can’t figure out who is at fault, I’m leaning towards Larry though?

What a rubbish note to start such a huge gig on. They did pretty well on the whole but did have more fluffs than usual that night.

Listening to it again, it does sound like Larry came in too early into the main verse
