Songs played: 25

  1. Guess they wanted people to have FOMO, & buy the lower demand (and generally more expensive) tickets.

Wonder if these are releases of new CAT 4-5 seats, or price reductions of seats that were already available at a higher price.

Wonder how the sales are really doing, tough to know.
  2. Now it's showing Category 4 and Red Zone sold out, and singles only for Category 2 and 5
  3. Yeah, I tried to do a dummy purchase of those single CAT 5's a few hours ago. But it said there weren't enough tickets to meet my request (of one ticket). So I'd say CAT 5 is effectively sold out too.

  4. Bingo. That's how LiveNation works since a couple of years back, explained in a nutshell.
  5. More weirdness with Adelaide tickets...
Today category 2 and 5 were singles only, category 1 limited availability, and category 4 sold out. Tonight all categories are available again.
  6. Overwhelming demand
  7. It will be interesting to see what kind of figures they bring in for the show. It’s a big stadium, Adele managed 70k for it, Ed Sheeran sold 62k tickets for it, the Rolling Stones have managed 54k in the past whilst Phil Collins managed around 30k. It would be disappointing if u2 couldn’t get near the Rolling Stones figure at least. The Rolling Stones did manage to bring in $3.8million dollars more than Ed Sheeran right enough with a lower attendance.

    Adele played in the round.

The Rolling Stones ticket prices are astronomical compared to, basically everyone. They are the most expensive band touring to go and see.

So the 62k Ed Sheeran achieved probably is around maximum for normal set ups. If they’ve went to the extent of changing the layout perhaps it’s not realistic to expect anywhere near 50k even then. Time will tell although I’d be willing to bet they bring in more money than Ed Sheeran with a much lower attendance, a u2 show does cost a lot more to put on right enough.

U2 will definitely bring in more money than Sheeran ,his ticket prices were relatively low by Australian standards.
His stage was one of the worst stages I've ever seen for such a big tour .
  11. How many of you goys are in GA? see you there
