A massive impact yes - since the Beatles? Nah

People in ivory towers who are lazy have nothing to do with my viewpoint.

I wouldn't paint everyone who lives on council estates as low lifes as 90% of those people are good and hard working, but these 2 were just stoners. Stoners with a talent yes but stoners all the same.

They haven't really matured with age and wisdom have they?

Noel acts as if he's the bees knees - he's not. He's not the messiah. He reacts to conflict like some 19 year old who can't find his stash. People especially interviewers, just kiss his ass.

    Liam, well, attention-seeking spoiled brat.

Listen popmarter, I have ALL their albums and singles, loads f bootlegs and have been to many of their concerts but it is what it is - If it looks like a stoned duck, acts like a stoned duck and quacks like s stoned duck then it's a stoned duck.

I remember when they boasted about being the biggest band in the world and now Noel has a support slot with U2 (ha ha) and Liam has... erm, er... a new coat?

" 'ew are you c***s calling lazy?"

...support slot with The Who. (FWIW)
  3. Is Noel going to get a full set for support with all these songs he's releasing? He didn't make it down under for the last album and there's plenty of new tracks. Makes it hard to find in the crowd pleasing oasis hits and his best stuff and his new stuff too
  4. Twickenham he had an hour long set, performing 11 songs.

If that's going to be the same this year then I predict a set list of:

    1. Fort Knox
    2. Holy Mountain
    3. Its a Beautiful World
    4. Black Star Dancing
    5. Dead In The Water
    6. Little By Little
    7. Whatever
    8. The Masterplan
    9. Wonderwall
    10. Don't Look Back In Anger
    11. All You Need is Love

He's releasing 2 more EPs before the U2 shows, so maybe he'll put in material from those as well. The set list is also missing some oasis heavy hits that he's been doing this year such as Half the world away and stop crying your heart out. I would also expect Aka what a life to make an appearance too.
  5. Pretty disappointing he's playing essentially nothing from the first two solo albums now. The new stuff isn't even close to those tracks

I was just thinking this when I was checking out his recent setlists while touring with the Smashing Pumpkins. He's down to about a dozen songs! Boooo!
  7. Liam’s new music is so much better than Noel’s new music
  8. I disagree as a matter of preference but Liam’s lack of vocal ability after the second night of a tour is a huge turn off.

Noel’s work has more depth to it. There’s a cohesiveness to that last record that keeps it on regular rotation for me whereas Liam just has a collection of songs.

When Morning Glory came out they were the biggest band on the planet U2 were off doing their Arty project that nobody bought called Passengers ,as for them being Stoners yeah they may have done their fare share of drugs but a lot of it was exaggerated and used for their bad boy image but they always did the gig most of the time ,You have to remember their popularity snowballed very quickly it was basically overnight success the debut album was huge instantly everyone knew about them and their music no band had made such a massive impact in the 90s particularly on this side of the planet.
