Rick, do you make Zoo Radio RTS Houston and both the TV Special and the Redbeard tape from Irving?
yes, the zoo radio RTSS is Houston and the other two Irving. Also I checked a couple of the video's on your list and I think Mysterious Ways is from New York, August 30 and also the ending (or second part) of UTEOTW is from that show. The start indeed seems to be from Irving like you have in your list.. I don't know exactly where they go from Irving to NY.
  2. That's mighty work Rick, well done.

Do you have MWs as NY 30th not NY 29th?

    I'll check UTEOTW also.
  3. Checked:

*UTEOTW the video is the start of Irving 16/10 Irving and the end of 30/08 NY
*Mysterious Ways the video is the start of 30/08 NY and the end of 29/08 NY

Those too were bloody brilliant spots. I'm sure there are more.

I can't agree on Running to Standstill. I started from scratch and I have the same conclusion: the Zoo Radio is the fulll version from Houston, the TV show an edited version from the same gig and only the Redbeard Tape version is from Irving. The key for me is the very ending of the vocal. It doesn't sound edited on the video; it's a clear end to the vocal as opposed to that long wail at Irving being faded out suddenly. Maybe my boots are wrong, but it seems clear to me. Only someone with excellent Audacity skills can satisfy it beyond doubt I think. Sorry @ricku2!

The Redbeard tracks are as follows, as best I can make out. It differs a bit from my mate @slaneman, but I can back it up!

Until the End of the World - Yankee Stadium, New York 30.08.1992
Mysterious Ways - Astrodome, Houston 14.08.1992 + Yankee Stadium, New York 29.08.1992
One - Yankee Stadium, New York 29.08.1992
Running to Standstill - Texas Stadium, Irving 16.10.1992
Streets - Yankee Stadium, New York 30.08.1992
Love is Blindness - Yankee Stadium, New York 29.08.1992

The end of One on the 30/08 NY show is totally different. It may of course be another Dolly Mixture Frankenstein mash-up. They all might.

I think the RTSS video is clearly from Irving.
  5. The two endings sound completely different to me, so I think we'll have to to disagree. Very amicably, obviously! We're not hearing the same thing I think. Great stuff though. It's been fun working at least most of it out.

yes, but the rest of the Hallelujah part is an exact copy and all filmed with the same camera, clearly without edits.. just at the end the camera switches, possibly because of the edited ending. Maybe it's a mix of both, but clearly some parts of the song are different from Houston and the stadium also doesn't look like the Astrodome. When I run the video with the Redbeard audio it feels like it's the same, I only have some doubts about the first 1/3 of the song. So I'm quite sure at least most of the video is from Irving.
And of course all very amicably, that should go without saying although on the internet maybe it's not always that clear...
  7. Gotcha. So it could be another Frankenstein's monster? I think we'll need an Audacity guru to see which bits are stitched where.

Goes without saying, of course. I'm just always anxious about causing any offence, or coming across as a smart arse, especially when I lose the run of myself with this sort of thing. And text is hopeless when it comes to communication!
  8. @Ricku2 Public acknowledgement that you were right on Running to Standstill. All of that radio version is Houston. All of that RedBeard version is Irving. 99% of the video version is Irving, with an edit at the very end splicing to the Houston ending. I'm glad to be wrong and a massive hats off for superb work working that one out.

    I've PMed you.

Thanks to the comments on Youtube which brought me to Irving. Glad I could help you out a bit with a few songs! Hopefully this information won't get lost again.. wrong labels can be quite annoying, especially for collectors and hard to get rid off once it spreads out.
  10. Hey guys, I just verified the tracks from the Outside Broadcast in Audacity, and the cut off frequency is at 16 kHz. I don't know much about this kind of stuff, but I assume it means that they are lossy files. I am right? Can someone please confirm?
  11. BiGiRL ran the spec last year and came to the same conclusion. The instinct has always been that the source was probably the FM broadcast.
  12. And you get good info about flies mating
