1. ...and turn forward time:

Noel's a support act again and Bono nearly dies of a health issue or whatever he's suggested in various interviews.

    Yeh, boozing is great fun

Maybe when I was a teenager getting drunk was fun but you know what we all grow up and mature and become more intelligent and grow out of that kid's stuff.

To see drunk grown men is both sad and embarrassing.

And there goes Bono again - calling for action to help Africa and then fecking the planet up with fuel from his private jet so the next generation can all die early deaths.

You can really see why people hate him.

I don't but sometimes I could smack him around the chops.

I think these events would have happened after Bono’s brush with mortality. The Paris show would have been in 2017 and Bono’s brush with mortality must have been in 2016 or early 2017. Not that it makes your point about over indulging in alcohol invalid. However as for the private jet thing if people really were using that as another reason to dislike Bono it would just be petty, especially when most people drive cars around everywhere or use public transport every day. Plus i’m assuming they wouldn’t be doing anything to help Africa so that’s 1-0 Bono. Bono gets a hard time because he’s outspoken and talks about issues that are easier for most people to avoid, in fact its much easier for them just to criticise a rock star instead. Nobody’s perfect, Bono isn’t either but he’s done a hell of a lot more good things for others than most people in this world can claim to have done.

    Blimmin eck! An intelligent reply

That's pretty rare - especially in a thread about the Gallagher brothers too - and I agree with you regarding your points about Bono

    1-0 Bono indeed

These Rock stars don't live on the same planet that the normal 9 to 5 guy does they live a completely different lifestyle they can do whatever the hell they like and get away with it they don't have to worry about paying the rent or getting up early to look after the kids or go to work they pay other people to worry about that, BTW Noel talks a lot of waffle he's great at exaggerating things just last wknd he talked up the Royal family and the interviewer reminded him of a quote he said back in the 00s that they should be all publicly flogged and that he would be the one to do it, every day for the last 20 odd years the NME would always have a story on what one of the Gallaghers had said that week however trivial,no better guys for getting the headline soundbite but they do talk a lot of BS .

Yeh, I see what you're saying man, but it makes you think that who is the real Noel - the one who wants to flog the royals and feck the establishment or the one who wants to mingle with the politicians in Downing Street (ala Bono) and yearns for a knighthood.

Just be real man - that's what your fans want. They will sniff out the bullshit - just as we can with Bono and that's why even though they may be our favourite band, we don't like to be lied to because that's where the trust ends.

I've been put off by, and stopped listening to, artists and bands because I felt cheated by them.

He obviously learned a lot from Bono the guy always hypes up the albums with some completely BS "we're making a balls to wall Rock album" the Edge is on fire ,it's a punk album made on Mars, it's hip hop meets Trance , it's our best album ever" it could be our last ,which they said when Pop came out in Q magazine,it's all about getting attention in the press regardless if it's true or not.
  8. I believe there could be a musical in the pipeline?

    Tentatively entitled Live Forever?

Great song but it's getting a bit hackneyed now.

Don't really want my band's music turned into a West End show with happy singing and Will Young playing Noel with superficial sincerity.

In fact, well let's face it, as it'll be done to generate £££ for them and not for the integrity of the music then maybe they should actually call the show SUPERFICIAL.
  9. 10 years to the day Oasis officially split up
  10. And there's Liam's celebration tweet for ya
