As you very well know you can make almost any song transition into any other song (I'm looking at you, Nero SoundTrax). They made the Chaplin speech transition into New Year's Day, anything could happen!
  2. 2 new songs available (California and 13) and CD will be delivered next month. Update on u2.com
  3. Hmmm so shipping in October is U2com's idea of "early Spring", eh? Nice. Maybe they were referring to the Southern Hemisphere's spring and it was a hint of them touring Down Under. Ha!!!!
  4. "early spring, "coming soon" "in the future".
  5. Well, for all the talk there’s been recently of U2 “touching up” live releases, it’s nice to see they haven’t done that on California here and left Bonk’s lyrical fumbles lovingly intact... “on that sunset brings me to your knees”
  6. —double post, sorry—
  7. California without that blazing synth part in the chorus isn't California at all.

    More like.......Alabama.
  8. I was glad they ditched the synths for live performances.
  9. double post

They did remove the bit during the fill though where Bono says ‘panning shot’ or at least partially removed it as you can faintly hear it with earphones on. The mistakes kept in are the type that are acceptable and not worth changing imo so it was a good decision to leave them.
  11. Still like the live version but not as much as the album version, synths definitely make the song better.
