1. I double the stake. There hasn't been a SINGLE TIME where Pavarotti hasn't given me the chills - and I've been listening to this for longer than I can remember.

  2. What if Bono wrote 13(there is a light) because that was the age he was before his mom died when he was 14. I’m sure he wrote it for his kids, but I think without knowing, he wrote it to his younger self maybe? Just listening to the lyrics I had that thought. I could be wrong.

That’s pretty neat. I’m pretty sure it’s just 13 because it’s track 13 BUT I’ve always figured it had some significance. The unlucky 13 always appealed to me but that’s a pretty cool take too

I think I and others probably mentioned this a while back, but I'd add that for me the Psalm 13 connection still works. Maybe not as verbatim or obvious as "40" for Psalm 40, but I like it.

That’s a cool idea too. One question I would ask him if I got the chance to

13 really came alive for me during EI. I think your concept ties in thematically. The light inside him at 13 is the same light he brought to arenas at 58. It's the light that matters.
  7. Listening back to performances of vertigo, I'd like to see it early in the set again. They play it with a purpose and an energy that they miss in a lot of their other songs and it'd be nice to see them start on that intensity again and carry it through for the rest of the show. I'm sure they aren't too old yet

They played it fairly early in the set during the IE tour, usually at #3 but sometimes as early as #2. It was like an adrenaline shot. I think I've never sweated as much as during Amsterdam4. Having The Miracle (terrible opener but definitely one you could jump to), then Out Of Control, then Vertigo and then I Will Follow, all seguing into each other non stop... Most energetic show opening I've ever seen.

I think the song losts it's energy after Vertigo tour, the biggest climax in the song is the chours with the "Feel".
Bono haven't sing it with that energy since Vertigo tour.
I skip that songs every time when Im listen to boots from after 2006.

ie shows definitely had a super energetic start. miracle -> out of control / electric co -> vertigo -> i will follow, they really set the tone for the show and hyped up both die hards & casual fans. And in my opinion Vertigo sounded great in 2015 (didn't enjoy it in 2018) & Bono's singing in these Boy songs was terrific.

YES to everything. The only downer was having Iris after it
  12. Two pints deep at the airport. The album version of Bad. Yikes.

Impossible to remember the order of the lyrics because we all listen to live versions of Bad 95% if the time but still.

Larry and Adam OWN all of the best U2 songs.
