Impossible to remember the order of the lyrics because we all listen to live versions of Bad 95% if the time but still.

Larry and Adam OWN all of the best U2 songs.
Whoa, whoa - don't be talkin' shit about the album version of Bad, I love it. It's different, but still amazing.
  2. Yikes in a good way man. Wade through my now three minds of muddiness.

Edit - even a sober me would think I was trashing the album version. No. It is incredible. Unfinished. But incredible. UF quickly snapping at the heels of Achtung Baby and Zooropa in my album rankings.

Haha, I recorded a version of Bad for the Podcast #2 - Under Australian Skies: U2's History with Australia and thought the same thing: has Bono ever sung the same set of lyrics to this song? Not only he changesmangles the verses all of the time, but also the "Dislocation, separation, condemnation, revelation" part.

I dare anyone to find two identical versions of Bad from any tour I'll send her/him a vinyl copy of UF.

Man, it's so weird you guys are chatting about this. I found myself trying to sing along to..a version of this song (can't remember which) the other day and I kept getting the verses all fucked up, and thought this very same thing "whatever Bono always fucks em up too".

    Great minds!
  5. 46:25 i was listening to this and wow... they actually did that!
  6. With SOA back on the table, I was thinking about how U2 could run a tour. Mind you, this would be EXTREMELY difficult in pretty much all aspects.

It would be cool if they stayed in one city for like 5-7 days. Play a “hits” show like JT30 in a stadium, then an arena show similar to EI Berlin with hits and some rarities, then a club gig with high energy similar to Irving Plaza, Roxy, Apollo Theatre that has 50/50 hits and rarities, then a theatre show with a strings section similar to Abbey Road, it’d be more chill and give them an opportunity to play songs like Stuck, Your Blue Room, Velvet Dress, Kite, etc. More low tempo songs.

Again nearly impossible with the amount of material to rehearse let alone cost of the “tour” and logistics.

It’s just cool to think how versatile the band is and if the stars aligned how awesome these separate shows would be. Not to mention an opportunity to please the masses as well as the die hards set list wise. Anyway, somethin I was daydreaming about while at work!

This is basically the same concept as the 2002-03 Licks Tour by The Rolling Stones. Stadium, arena and club/theatre in the same city.

It's not impossible. It's been done before.

I wouldn't say it's back on the table this is the same guy who said they had 3 albums ready to go a few years back and that they were going to re record POP,anything he has to say about new music I would take with a large grain of salt .

  9. On my way....i found this....a tow truck parked by the side of the road.....
  10. It's my truck. I halted to have a coffee in the petrol station
  11. Thought: Shadows and Tall Trees is too often left out in discussions about which album closers are among U2's best.
