1. We are two years out at least
  2. I need Mercy now !!
  3. Me too. Most bands can't afford that since the music industry money is on the live side of it nowadays, but U2 can SURELY afford releasing a record and not promoting it with a tour.

Or maybe release it as a u2.com subscribers gift. That way they don't have to worry about reviews etc..

Not when they have a full time crew of over 100 who depend on them playing live to make a living.
  6. That's a great idea!
  7. I don’t think the band are really obligated though, morally or otherwise, to tour every album they release. I’m sure they’ll want to keep there team happy but if they released an album sooner than they were ready to tour I don’t think there would be an issue with that. The crew will likely have other work lined up until the band are ready to tour again, usually there is a 3 or 4 year gap between tours anyway so I don’t think anyone working with the band would expect to be on tour until then.

    2015,2017,2018,2019... ehm
  9. Are we just ignoring all the years prior to that then? The only reason the band have been that busy recently is because of anniversary tours otherwise there’s still been the same gap between touring a new album.
  10. It was just the hype of a new unreleased song. It's nothing special (and this is said by the person who raved about it back in the day and even made the only guitar tab that exists for the song).
