1. 100 full-time crew?
  2. Wait, do you think the crew don't have their own lives (and other jobs) when U2 is not on tour? Do you think they depend 100% on them? Must be joking right
  3. Lol, the people in the back of the tour programme are not employed by U2 year-round.
  4. A lot of the top guys are probably employed by U2 on a full time basis the amount of planning that goes into a tour can be years in advance ,not saying they don't work for other artists but U2 are probably their main employer.
  5. Exactly. Only a handful like Joe O'Herlihy, Dallas Schoo, Brian Murphy and the likes are fully employed whether there's a tour ongoing or not. But the rest of them, roadies, production team etc have their own things going on.

Tbh I have no tangible proof of this but it's like that for any and every band out there.

For example, The Rolling Stones had to move their last show in Miami in August forward a day because of a hurricane instead of after the hurricane because "the tour crew had other commitments in other parts of the world"

And in Berlin last year I asked a few crew members at the airport what about U2 in 2019, and they were like "right now it's unemployment".

Terry Lawless has his own band and works for other artists - check out his resume on the website...

North Star has so much potential. There's a really great version on YouTube where a fan added his own instrumentals to the mix. It's extremely good (in my opinion).

Willie WIlliams (http://www.willieworld.com/) seems to keep himself busy in the offseason.

I mean it's U2, of course there's something to it It's just not the next Wild Horses or One Tree Hill. It's just your standard U2-ish song. And since their unreleased songs tend to worsen once they "polish them up" ( ) I don't have any hope that North Star can live up to your expectations. If they ever do anything else with it, it'll probably become a soppy, overcooked mid tempo cliché.

So what point are you trying to make ???are you agreeing they are solely employed by U2 ?

You're probably right. I strongly dislike the short snippet of the Transformers version that's available.
