I would love it if they did and save doing the whole DVD rip thing, but I doubt they will (must be too hard ). They'll just make a (stupidly priced) box set and add crap we don't want or need like they did with I&E Live in Paris.
I would love it if they pressed it on vinyl, but again, too hard to do this it would seem. It is utter BS that there are no U2 shows on vinyl post 1987 (aside from bootlegs of course) and that was only released in 2017.

Iggy Pop’s post pop depression live is a dvd plus two disc cd set in a Nice simpel cartboard sleeve. Realy Nice, would love a u2 release of live stuff like that

Everything went south in 2016 with the SOE/EI Tour delay. Nothing fits anymore. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they ditched the Joshua Tree 2017 and/or the EI releases altogether. Who buys DVDs/blurays nowadays anyway?

I keep on seeing this question about who buys DVD’s, plenty of people still do. U2 have got fans that buy everything related to the band, then they’ve got fans like me who at least buy all the new albums and tour DVD’s. I&e Paris reached #1 in both the uk and US music dvd charts, number 4 in Brazil as well. I’m not saying they charts will require an enormous amount of sales to reach #1 but if they’re beating all the other artists that are releasing DVD’s you can be sure they’ll keep on doing what they’ve been doing.
