  1. The radio nz journalist in the review was embarrassing in terms of missing the point of a lot of the themes. The whole showman act is overblown to then talk about his outward confidence but inward insecurity. Jeez..it wasnt that hard to miss with every breaking wave following it as he removed his makeup
  2. What do people make of the EBW/Best Thing rotation? Personally I’d love to see it continue. EBW is the better song for me but the acoustic live version of best thing only continues to grow on me, always thought it was the best version of the song.
  3. Oh I'd missed that one tommybanny. You're right, he's clearly unfamiliar with the themes and hasn't bothered to inquire. Not understanding MOTD is deplorable.

EBW is definitely the better of the two but I'm personally not a huge fan of the acoustic YTBTAM. Would prefer swapping with Little Things but that seems unlikely.

The peak example of lazy journalism. A google search would be a start!

    Agreeeee👍
  7. Oh and just another point on that which I forgot to mention. Theres a reason many dislike the press, especially when they are determined to push a particular narrative. This journalist appeared to place particular emphasis that bono is arrogant with an enormous ego. The result of that is the journalist viewing that section of the show at genuine face value, without a hint of irony and ignoring the blatant clues to irony (I.e Bono saying "is it so wrong that I need the audience more than you need me?!") It ends up with people having an incorrect perspective of people, particularly if they rely on the press to form their worldview. My colleague who didnt go the show came to my desk this morning and asked me about the show. In response to my answer she said "I heard he went on a rant which ruined the whole show". Facepalm.
  8. Sorry I deleted my half recording of the second here it is in full
  9. I believe U2Start has the ability to remind Bono what he said!
