(...) the band used my friend’s laptop to record one of their sessions as all the band’s laptops (producers’ included) were being used in other rooms due to the nature in which U2 work. The band took a copy of the files but didn’t delete them from my friend’s hard drive. My friend (some years after the event I must say) sent the files to me.

This is the download link for the NLOTH sessions in mp3:

I totally agree, I really like that middle 8. As for SuC/Boots/Crazy Tonight, they should've been b-sides to NLOTH, or kept in the vault for later releases. And yes, EBW is overproduced, as is 80% of SoI, another album that has a lot of potential. I can't stand the production of most of the songs (I really liked them live). Thankfully they kinda solved it with SoE.
    Agreed!

I'm really hoping they get Andy Barlow to be the sole producer on the next album. The songs he had the most hand in on SoE are really the only ones that hinted at U2 breaking new ground sonically. Book of Your Heart sounds like something from the future, but also remarkably like U2 in the Unforgettable Fire era.

  3. I humbly present to you my "Yet Another NLOTH Rework Project Inspired By Linear And Wiki Info". I feel like I've finally converged. I made the cover with a black border to differentiate it with NLOTH itself in my library. I really like the title they were planning to use when the plan was still to release 2 EPs, so I went with it. Here Soon is intended as a transition song between the two 4 song "EPs".

That photo looks great as an album cover
  5. Actually there is a line on the horizon on it, though

    where is that available
  7. I might be able to get a publishing deal with Island Records for this, who knows !
  8. Nah, they're too busy with the pile of unpublished blurays from past tours!
  9. No line on the horizon is for me their best album. They have been always better and they sound unique when they experiment a little bit than when they try to write pop rock tunes that target on radio... (Where they don't play it anyway in the end)
Well, I had to create my own version, skip songs that don't fit to the mood and change the order... I wish they had released it like this:

    Soon
    Breathe
    Winter
    Unknown Caller
    Magnificent
    Fez being born
    No line on horizon
    White as snow
    Moment of Surrender
    Cedars of Lebanon
