Episode #7 - The Final Australian Show, Fan Events and Sydney

It is showday in Perth and we are joined by Nicole, a fan from Melbourne who led the way in bringing fans together in Australia organising fan events across the country. We talk about these events, how they came together and we look back she looks back on the Australian tour. We discuss the shows in Adelaide and Sydney in length and look ahead to the final Australian show in Perth.

You can listen to the podcast on our podcast page, but we are also on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcast, Stitcher and TuneIn. Just search for "U2start".
  2. Thanks for 7 really interesting and informative podcasts.

I was one of those 4 strangers in Auckland Nicole discusses and she's right, we had a great night chatting about our experiences; so thanks for your hard work Nicole.

Thiis tour is the first time I've ever attended a fan meet up or been on my own in GA and meeting other fans from around the world has been a highlight. In Perth I even ran into @jono99 who was one of the other 4 in Auckland and I also grabbed a selfie with Marco who, as you note, is such an engaging character.

For me. the social side of this tour has created as many memories as the shows themselves.

Being on your own in GA is a game changer - once you do it it can become a bit addicting I'm glad you've had such a great time this tour. Congrats!
  4. Usually have relatives to keep me company for GA in Sydney but they could only do seats this time around. When I went overseas in 2017 and 2018 I chose seats but next time it'll be GA because, as you said, it's addictive.
  5. Great podcast Remy....
It was good to say g'day to you in Melbourne outside the GA line. We got stuck getting out of RZ so couldn't come and say hi for the post show periscope but you got Brad from Perth which was awesome. After Syd1 we came looking for you to interview my wife who had the most amazing experience with Bono on his knee singing Pride straight to her on the rail, an experience she will never forget.
Nice to hear from Nicole who did an amazing job with the facebook group and the highlight was certainly the Harbour cruise, what an evening it was, thanks again Nicole, you have set the bar high for fan meetups around the world!
    Cheers,
    Greg (Reddog)
