1. I don't think they have.
  2. Would of thought most stuff now is recorded in 4K, but just released at a lower quality.

By the way, has any band ever released something official in 4K? I have never seen it until today. I just remember that Muse filmed in 4k in Rome, but did the BluRay release only ...
  3. I'd fucking LOVE a 4K release of a 2011 360 show.

EDIT: Ah, I see they've announced more broadcast dates to show the Berlin show - for people who have DirecTV. Thanks, U2 - always prioritizing getting dat sponsor money instead of just streaming it from your website to let ALL fans watch...guess I can get fucked since I don't have DirecTV.

No, you actually just have to wait until the video comes out. They might want to show it in highest resolution. Pretty much all American companies do exclusive deals now.
  5. Its not an inclusive social approach but that seems to be the trend right now.
  6. I think they shouldn't release anything on DVD anymore, because all TV's today are FullHD. And I understand people who still only have DVD players, because I had only one VCR until 2006, when I bought my first DVD Player. Unfortunately here in Brazil stores still sell more DVD players than BluRays players. First because of piracy, because it's easier and cheaper to fake DVDs, and second because there are still DVD releases. If big bands and big movie studios launch only FullHD and 4k products, people will change their players, and make things harder for piracy. And the biggest reason ... it's 2020 and the audio visual quality is not the same as 20 years ago.
  7. U2 have to consider these issues on a worldwide scale. The best and only answer is to release multiple formats at multiple price points.
  8. I hope they continue to release on DVD. It‘s the easiest and for me the only way to rip the audio.
  9. They should release the audio on streaming services. I am confused why there are like no live releases on Spotify.
  10. On Spotify they have the vertigo Milan tracks that were on 18singles and the JT Paris show that was released on dvd but you’re right it is surprising they don’t have some of the other dvd releases in audio.
  11. The band as a whole slacks so hard in that area. I hope to god when the XM channel comes out they open up some bootlegs a la Pearl Jam. Probably wishful thinking but they really should play some live tracks that aren’t official releases.

    That’s hardly anything.

They should release everything on Spotify/Apple music. It really is shocking. Who buys physical releases anymore? A minority and those people who do buy them, rip it and put it back on the shelf forever.
